Sunday Febuary Spotlight technique: ombre background

This year I started something new on the
Every month I put a technique in the spotlight
and hope the group will try this technique too.

This month my eye caught the wonderful ombre
background technique by Jennifer Mcquire.
She very often comes up with wonderful
easy techniques. Here is the video tutorial:

If you want to see it on Jennifers on blog,
go HERE for all the details and materials she used.

For the top card I used the background stamp, that comes
with the Lily stampset by Michael Strong.
As I do not have the words as shown in the video
I used a digital sentiment by Create with TLC.

If you do not have a large background stamp,
you can also use smaller stamps and stamp the
image all over the background panel, like I did here
with the smaller Michael Strong rubber heart stamp.
For the sentiment I used a rubber sticker and
a sentiment by Create with TLC.

Hope this technique inspires you too.
Thank you Jennifer for your idea.

Have a creative day!

Kindness

Have you seen the blog of
She has started a kindness challenge:
doing acts of kindness,
making cards of kindness.
Just hop over to her blog and see what it is all about HERE.

I think this is wonderful
and when I noticed the free image
on the
I just had to make a card.
This sentiment is a freebie for alimited time,
so hurry if you want it!

So when I started making a word document
to print the panel for my card I noticed
there were  more sentiments I had
saved which had something to do with
kindness, so I made 4 pannels and
here are the 4 cards that I made.

Card 1:
I was inspired by the stamping technique of Jennifer
and I used some of my Club Scrap stamps
to have a kind of same impression.
I added some little flower gemstones
andthe smiley is a tiny stamp I have
in my stash.

 Card 2:
For the background i used a Tim Holtz stencil.
The flowers are Stampin'Up! that are
punched out after stamping and
have a little gemstone in the heart.

Card 3:
For this card is started with the
rays stencil of Tim Holtz and
the big flower is from StampinÚp!
colored with distress ink.

Card 4:
Of course I had tomake one coffee card
with Michael Strong's coffee cups.
The background is stampedwith Club Scrap's
coffee ring and the beans are from a
Stampin'Up! coffee set.

If you would like me to send you one of these cards,
feel free to contact me and I send  your choice of
card to you with pleasure!

Thanks for looking!

Have a creative day!
