Here is my contribution to the
masculine card and scrapbook ideas
with faux metal additions to it.
Here is my contribution to the
masculine card and scrapbook ideas
with faux metal additions to it.
Starting with a scrappage I made of my DH love for cars
and especially police cars in the USA (he has themof all states
in miniature size!). So everywhere we went he took pictures
of any police car he noticed! That is pretty amazing, right!
That is a stamp from the rubber stamps that go with the Creative License
kit as all the papers do too. I samped the image after coloring it
with a red and blue marker. Nezt i rubbed versamark watermark ink on top
and embossedit with clear embossing powder.
I made this faux metal gear border with Tim Holtz
sizzix gear die.I cut the gears from various colors
of papers and used the various sizes on this border
in the carpet tape technique.
So you start with a piece of cardstock and stick
the carpet tape on it. Now remove the other layer
and place the gear on the sticky tape. When all
done I used gold embossing powder and a heat gun.
When this was all done I added some metal brads and
some TimHoltz metal gears. I fastened these with
a piece of wire.
And now for some cards. I did some experimenting
and have quite some pieces to finish, but this is what
I used for these cards. Mostly I colored some backgrounds
and embossed them for futher use. The sentiment is
a cut apart from the scrapbook kit and the car is a
rubber stamp from the Cruisin' kit from August 2008.
I love this combination of green, blue, gold and silver.
I embossed it with the rivited metal embossing folder
by Sizzix (Tim Holtz).
After the embossing I added black ink to the
raised parts before using it on the card.
For this card I used two embossed papers on top of
each other. The grea one in the background is embossed with
the gadged gears Tim Holtz embossing folder
and the top one was used first to cut out some gears
( for the scrap page) and then I embossed it with these
tiny gears and adding black ink. The sentiment
is from the Cape Cod rubber stamp setand the car
is from the Creative License digital kit.
For this last card I also used a piece of paper
that was first used to cut out the gears, but the left over
piece is also perfect for a picture frame, so how about this
for a birthday card for my man? His birthday is not to
far off , so I am ready!
Well, this was it for today fro me.
In for some more ideas?
