Some time ago I told you that I was asked to be in the
design team of
and as of this month you will see ssome changes going to
happen at the Art neko website and will get to know
the design team. All ofus will post regularly on the design blog
and on our own blogs.
I want to start this month with the Art Neko mascot
stamp: the good luck cat. You find the stamp here.
You can read all about the meaning of this
Maneki-neko here.
I stamped the image with versamark and embossed
iy with gold embossing powder. Then I colored the
image with red brick and vintage photo distress ink.
I cut out the image to add it to the background.
When i had everything taped down to the card
I added a few drops of glossy accent to the pendant of the cat.
Here you see the little charm that I added to the card.
The Dutch colors and a little birdie.
Behind the cat image, upiu see some oriental characters.
When I knew I was going to be in the Art Neko
design team I found this book with orental characters
(I have no idea if it is Chinese or Japanese) and
this is great to use for cards.
I wish the new design team good luck,
inspiration and lots of creativity.
Thanks for looking.
