Cupcake inspiration today

For my Saturday card i did not use a sketch today,

but I was inspired by the image on the

Cupcake Inspiration Blog.

One can use the colors for inspiration

or do the flower challenge.

 As you can see on my card I did both.

I started with stamping Michael Strong's

large and smaller flowers on the white paper

 and embossing it with white embossing powder.

Then I took my watercolor palet and some water.

Painting the paper with light colors.

I used a lot of water to make the colors this light.

The embossing powder works as a resist

and the flowers pop through the water colors.

Here a more close up to the finished background.

You notice the pink smaller flowers, these are from

the Michael Strong  Hannah's Busy Bee set. 

The are embossed in pink and taped to the card with foam tape. 

Little sticky pearls on top for decoration.
