Sunday scrap page: Mother/Daughter Day

Yesterday I had a lovely day with my daughter. We went to a craft fair
1 1/2 hour drive from our house and she treated me to a Starbuck
Pumpkin Spice Latte on the way to the fair. Yummy.
I started stamping the background with a pumpkin
stamp by Michael Strong in brown ink.
Next I took a orange inkpad and  a blending tool
and colored the pumpkins with some orange ink.

On the left side of the page I also stamped some coffee rings
(Club Scrap mocha java stamp) and handlettered the
PSL (pumpkin spice latte), because that fair was a lot about
handlettering my DD and I love to do lately.

All the papers  used to make this page are from different
Club Scrap kits.Even the sentiment is one of the
Club Scrap cut aparts. The coffee picture is one I made
at the Starbuck coffee shop we went to get our coffee.
The flowers is made out of a nespresso capsule.

There is a little tutorial here.

We are happy with our delicious coffee! On the left
you see the Fall cameo stamp by Michael Strong. It is
stamped in dark prown and colored with pencil.
After coloring some white dots are added and
sprayed over with gold distress mica spray. A pity
this is not very clear to see, but it is beautiful!

And here we are at the Fair. The text is printed
with the computer and the lines around it are drawn by hand.

The ribbon used on this page are by Diana Larson.
She hand dies them herself and the come in bundles.
This delicious set is called

Here a close up of the ribbon. it is a little crincled and I love that.
She has a special free shipping offer over at her blog until
November 5. It is world wide FREE shipping, so have
a look HERE.

Well, thank you for looking.
Now I go practice my handlettering
You can see some of it on my instagram
@4hetty is my name there.

Have a creative day!

My card is for the Freshly Made Sketches Blog.
And is made with an embossed background

and a sentiment by Create with TLC,
that is a freebie HERE.
The background is done with a pumpkin embossingfolder
from cuttlebug (provocraft). I added orange and green
ink with a blending tool to the raised parts.

The pumpkin is a stamp by Michael Strong.
Stamped the pumpkin on orange paper and
embossed it with orange embossing powder
and decorated with bling gemstones.

Sip and Share sketch

On my favorite Coffee Lovers Blog
there is always a sketch on Sunday.
My intention is every week to take part,
but than life takes over and I have so many
other things to do. Today I finally made one
card for this weeks sketch.

With Christmas cards already on my mind,
I made this card with a winter feel.

Here is the sketch that I used.
It is a totally fun sketch by Kerry Urbatch.
Go and see her card on the blog.

For my card you see some differend pieces of scrap papers.
The hot cocoa mug is a die from Die-Namic, with some
glittery backer's twine and a woodsie mitten with a
little glittery gemstone.

And how bout this sentiment on one of the papers that I found
 in between my scrap stash.

Thank you for looking
and have a creative day!

Club Scrap Blog Hop: Literature

Welcome to the October
We present to you the October kit called
Literature.
Above you see the contents of the Deluxe kit.

We share with you all kinds of different projects,
like scrapbook lay outs, cards, mini books and more
to inspire you to use the papers and stamps.
I hope you arrived here from
seen her inspiring project and left her some love.
You know, one can never start reading early enoug!
The twins already love reading their books.
This page is made with the digital Literature kit.
(btw. my first digital scrap page!)

And now let's see what else I made for you:

This month we were asked for the Artist Team challenge to
share some gift ideas for the December month. I had so many ideas,
that here are some more gift ideas. My idea for everything is
books and coffee a perfect combination!

So my first project is a box of coasters.

I found some plain looking wooden coasters in the $$ store
that needed to be decorate. Six coasters came in this cute
holder. Everything ready for decoration!

I started with giving all the coasters a layer of
white gesso, which makes stamping so much easier

When the gesso was drie (and that is real quick) I colored
all the sides with brown ink.

Next step is stamping. I stamped with the same brown inkpad.
Not wanting to make all the coasters the same but
all there own look. I used the rubber stamps that came
with the kit. You can see all the stamps HERE.

After everything was stamped all in brown,
I used a blending tool to add some color.

Here a few finished coasters.

I really love the finished look
and will for sure use them (or give them as a present).

My other project for today is the one you can not only
use for December, but all kind of occasions. I found this idea
on pinterest and here is my version of it. On one side
there is a pocket for a pen and a post-it block
of 3 x 3 inch. It can also be a great teacher gift.

On the other side there is a pocket, which
can hold a gift card or a little note.
You can also leave out the pocked and add
a calendar on the other side.

Here is the template with the measurements
of this post-it note gift set.
This is how it looks after the cutting and folding.

Here some more views of how to construct this.

I used the red tape for strong construction.

Of course there are many ways to decorate this
fun little gift, so my way is just to inspire you.
On one I use a ribbon and on the other I used
some of the cut apparts. On the right one I added
the clip that came with the kit, that is perfect for a book clip.

I also found some pens, that I could decorate
with matching paper. For this I printed some
of the papers from the digital Literature kit.

And now for even more inspiration
head over to
and see what see has in store for you.
If for some reason you loose your way,
you can alsways go back to the

Thanks you for looking and
have a creative day!

Sunday scrap page: handlettering

My page today is about: Handlettering.
Lately I am practicing this and doing a challenge on
instagram of 31 one days of October on handlettering.
I am still far from average, but it is fun to do and learning on the way.

As you see I even practice with one of my grandchildren
on my lap. Colin is looking very interrested ;-).

For my page I used a combination of Club Scrap's
Garden Shed and the new Literature kit.
This Fleur de Lis stamp is by Michael Strong.
I stamped this on the bookpage print from the CS Literature kit.
Then I cut it with the die that goes with it and decorated
this with lovely blue sticky gemstones, matching the ribbon.

Here some handwriting of me. The top card also has one
of the Literature rubber stamps on the background.

This sentiment is one of the cut aparts from the
Club Scrap Literature kit.

Thank you for looking.
Hope you come by again on Wednesday when
we have a blog hop with the Club Scrap Literature kit.

Have a creative day!
