Pink Ribbon

October is Pink Ribbon month:
Breast Cancer awareness,
but there are so many other deseases
that need attention and cures,
so Paulette from Create with TLC
made a very clever digital image
that you can use with other
colors of ribbons.
Below you see all kinds of colored
ribbons and the desease that goes with it,
is written underneath to give
you more ideas of the use of the
sentiment. You find the sentiment

I found an irisfolding template online:
and thought this was great to use for
my card, for you can also fold the ribbon
in any color you like.I used some plain pink and
glitter pink paper.

Here is the template,
but know this is not mine but
from Melissa.If you like irisfolding
take another look on her blog for
she has more free templates there.

Sunday Scrap Page: Dress Red Day

For today's page I used Club Scrap's Wings kit
to create this page. The photo's and the papers
blend perfect together.

The theme this week is excercise/ activity
and i think the page fits the theme perfectly.

On September 29 it was Dress Day:
a day to dress in something red for the
good cause of the heart foundation.

So,this Sunday all of us went to the gym
,wearing something red
and enjoyed a wonderful program of
excersise outside on the gass in the
sun and afterwards we had some great low
calorie snacks and drinks.

The hearts on the page are by Michael Strong
and embossed with white embossing powder.
It was a great day and hopefully we do this again.

Have a great day!

Creative Chemistry 102: teachings by Tim Holtz: Day 5

Day 5 on Creative Chemistry 102 lessons
by Tim Holtz are all about embossing effects.

This tag is using the rusting with distress
powder and because on Saturday I always
make something for my Michael Strong Yahoogroup
I used Michael Strong stamps:
The bottle is a die cut
with a TH Sizzix die.
I lsoused some TH word stickers
and a mini SU! alphabet stamp set.

For the background and the ink bottle
I used walnut distress embossing powder
and for the stars I used the
fired brick embossing powder.

The label on the in bottle is with the die.
I just drew the red border with a
thin marker and added some red ink around it.

Tim's teachings make your
creativety flow fully and allthough
I want to try all the techniques,
they just have to wait until I am back
from the Club Scrap Retreat.

Have a creative day!

Creative Chemistry 102: teachings by Tim Holtz: Day 4

Day 4 is all about different
ways of using your alcohol inks
Chemistry teachings.

I used the "ombre technique" for this
tag full of Jewish symbols.
The stamps are from various brands
to wish you all
Shabbat shalom!

Creative Chemistry 102: teachings by Tim Holtz: Day 3

Day 3 is about: Distressing Differently.
For today i choose to do the
"Smudge Stamping" technique.

Did you sign up? It is absolutely
fantastic to see all the video's,
learning new techniques and seeing
everyone elses artwork.

If you are interrested:
all about the class can be found here:

When you do this technique you wind up with making two
cards or two tags like I did.

So what is the story behind this tag?
The tag is all about my trip next week.
Yes,USA I am coming.

The bags are being packed,
the ticket is there
and  my friends are waiting.

Just a few more days
and I will see you all again!
Club Scrap here I come!!

Creative Chemistry 102: teachings by Tim Holtz: Day 2

Day two of Creative Chemistry is all
about stencils! And I do have some....
And now I learn more ways of using them.

I cannot resist getting my Club Scrap
coffee stencil out and see how it looks
with Tim Holtz's techniques.
I combined embossing on a tag
and embossing wih colorcore cardstock.

On top you see the stencil I used on the
tag for the first technique and the background
on the tag.

Here the second layer of colorcore paper

and this is the finished tag with
the Club scrap spoon stamp
and the Michael Strong coffee cup.

The "cup of inspiration" is
partly stamped and a TH sticker.

I decided to do one tag each day
and later on tryng all
other techniques,for I just don't have
enough time. I love seeing all the
video's and the samples are awesome.
Have a creative day!

Creative Chemistry 102: teachings by Tim Holtz: Day 1

Tim Holtz has started another serie
of his great online teachings:
This way you are leaning a lot about
his products and what you can do with them.

Each day lots of information,
video tutorials and download sheets
about all the info you get.

All for only $ 25,-
And if you don't have all the time of the
world to do these lessons, ou have lifetime
access and can do it in your own time (like me!).
It is already day 2 but I only started on one
tag of day 1 and still have to finish it.

I love everythin I see, just have so many other
things to do at this moment.

This first tag is done in a technique called:
Distress Paint Marbling
and with the paints I have I made this tag.
Fun and easy technique and absolutely
makes great backgrounds.

Now to finish this tag....
tomorrow! I have to do a little
thinking of what and how...

next day:
Here is my finished tag:
I wanted to do the chemist stamp, but up until
now it was sold out...so the time traveler
came in his place. The words are
from the sticker sheets and the
numbers are fromone of the long alphabet
dies that you roll through your bigshot.
I colored lightly with a few distress markers.

Thanks Tim for all the wonderful new
techniques that I will learn at a
slower pace then you are sharing.

Have a creative day!

TJ Designer Paper Perfection Blog Hop

Welcome to another Technique Junkies
Blog Hop with showing you all the techniques from the new
TJ CD called Design Paper Perfection.

I hope you have come over here from
my very creative friend Holly Brown
and her inspiration for you. Now it is my turn
and I chose to show you two techniques.

Just a note: if you lose your way
or miss a link, go back to the start
of the blog hop on the
Design Junkies Blog here:

This first card is with the Worn Wallpaper technique
with a SU! background stamp, Michael Stong flowers
and the sentiment stickers of Tim Holtz.
I used the large and the small cloisonné flower
and they are held together with a button and
some wax thread.

And the second card is with the Jeweld Edges
technique, that i loved doing with this
matching Club Scrap sentiment.
What a sweet baby card this turned out.
Totally different from other baby cards.

Oh by the way there are about 45 pdf
step by step tutorial of which 30
are brand new and 15 are from
our archives.
All details and list of tutorials
can be found here:
Now you want to see more....?
Yes,you do!
Go to the blog of
with her colorful artwork for you.
