Saturday stripes: more washi tape ideas

Hello again, you washi tape lovers!

Today more ideas on how to use your tape.
This time we use again a die and tape.
Take 3 or 4 rolls of tape, Apiece of left over scrap paper
and cut it to the size of the panel you want to use for your
card. Don't use to heavy paper or you cannot cut through
all the layers. Today I use my Michael Strong tree die.
Cover aalof the panel with tape and glue the ends
to the back of the paper.
Mat the pannel (also use light weight paper) and
glue this to your card.

Decide where you want to cut and use your die
cut machine. Don't forget to open the card when you cut!

Now inside the card you can stamp your wish to be
seen on the outside. The tree that was cut out can
be used on another card or can be used on the
inside of the card.

Here another sample with a star cut out:
For the inside I used a subway art text by
Taylored Expressions on the inside of the card.
As the star is in the letter "O" I added a little
sticky gemstone.
Here you see the inside and I have asses some
washi tape here too.

And I did make some other cards using
the washi tape and Michael Strongs fun
elephant stamps that I want to share with you too.

Well I hope you are into washi tape now too
and have lots of ideas. Tomorrow it
is scrappage time and let me think how to
use the tape ther. See you tomorrow!

Friday Favourite: washi tape

There are so many more things you can do with your washi tape,
that today I have a new tutorial for you.
A fun and easy way to use the tape for your background.

Takee some scraps of paper and cut them
4 x4 inch and avout 3 or 4 rolls of tape:
Draw a line across the middle of the square (2")
Do this verticaland horizontal.

Take your first roll ans tart half way the square
and  fill 1/4 of the paper
by adding tape until your square is full.
Turn the square and start the next 1/4 of the paper.
Do all quarters of the paper like this. You can do
the tape in a pattern or do it just wimsical.
Finish the square by gluing all the end of the tape
to the back. Now it is ready to use on a card.
Here is the finished card with just adding
a sentiment and some bakers twine.

For both cards I used Club Scrap paper
and stamps. Tje tapes are drom different stores
and the gemstones are from my stash.

Need more ideas?
Here are some recent cards Imade for your
inspiration:

Tape Thursday

Here another idea for the use of your washi tape.
Today we combine the tape
with the dies you have.

I used Club Scrap Vogue paper
and a digital sentiment by Create with TLC
(if you are quick, you can stillgrab the
sentiment as a freebie on the ctlc blog)
Start with any piece of scrap paper you have lying around
that is large enough for the die you want to use.
Never mind the color of the paper!

You cover your piece of scrap with several
patterns of washi tape untilit is completely covered.

Take your cutting machine out and make
the cutting sandwitch that is needed for
your machine.

After cutting.

I used the small clove on the inside of the card.

As you start cutting with your dies,
you can use all kinds. With the circle
die you can make wonderful Christmas ball
decorations on your card (or on your menu).

I found some fun tape that says Merry Christmas
and made it stand out on the ball.
Hope I have given you some more ideas
on how to use that tape.

More tips,tomorrow!

Have a creative day!

Washi Wednesday

Hello!

I told you before I love my washi tape.
It makes wonderful cards and in a jiffy.
Here are some seasonal cards I made
with Club Scrap's Fire & Ice papers,
the glittery tape that was in the box
and some older Club Scrap stamps I have.
They are from the 2007 A very Groovy
Christmas and the 20O9 set Joyful.
I have severalcards that I want to share with you.
First thes striped ones.
Combine some green and red washi tape
and glue them down vertically
on your card. You can tear them
or cut them at the end.
I colored the ho ho ho text with  my distress markers:
(festive berries and mowed lawn) and stamped them
on a separate piece of paper.
The colored ho ho ho is fastened to the
background with a piece of foam tape.
The brads are just for decoration.

On the next two cards I used the washi tape
to make a wimsical Christmas tree with
a golden (embossed) snowflake on top
or stars (whatever stamp you have that
you fancy for the top of the tree)
and even use the tape for a small tree to  decorated
the inside of your card.
The last one is with a star  Michael Strong
on top and here I also used a bit of yellow
washi tape.

I think this willbe the year of the washi tape
Christmas cards for me for I have some more ideas.
See you soon and I hope
your washi tape out too and create!

Have a creative day!

Sunday Scrappage: Thankful

Another week has passed and here
we are again with a new scrap page for the
This time it is my finished pages of the Fire&Ice
Blog hop as I promised iwould show them
with the pictures.

Well, last night we had the party and because the
pages were ready it was easy to finish these
two pages.

If you like the file folder on this page,
please go to the bag to HERE for
the template and the tutorial.

Besides adding the text to the pages, I also
stamped the date and party with
letters and numbers.

They are stamped with versamark watermark ink
and embossed with blue and orange embossing powder.
Also adding in a little blue and yellow ink to make them
match with the colors of the background paper.

Hope you all have a wonderful Sunday!
Have a creative day!
