Oopsie Daisy

It is absolutely wonderful when my nes
Club Scrap
pizzabox arrives with all it'sgoodies.
This month the theme is:
Oopsie Daisy
and while running this morning I just
had to take some pictures:
Back home I got my stamps out and
started to cut them,so I could use themto make.....

You find all the stamps here.
Here you see how the stamps come in a sheet.
So to be able to use them you have to cut them apart.
Fot the cutting I use this special tonic scissors
that makes cutting through rubber easy.
After the cutting, you turn the stamps upside down
and add some Club Scrap mount-it glue on the back.
This glue is tacky and you can use it to add your
stamp to an acrylic bloc for stamping.
So what to do when you take that stamp of your block?
I prepare my stamp index sheets like this:
make a photo copy of the sheet and glue both
sheets back to back. Then  laminate it.

When laminated put the stamps on one side
and on the other side you can see all the stamps.
I have many stamps stored like this and the tacky
mount-it glue works perfect every time!

Now that my stamps are ready, I just have to make
a card!
With some dabbers, a black ink pad and
a few colored pencils I whipped up this card.

You find the tutorial for this technique here:

Sunday Scrap card: Elephant

Today not a page, but a 5,5" x 5,5" scrap card
on Club Scrap Aspen paper with
Michael Strong's elephant stamps.

My DD and my GS often go to Artis (the zoo in Amsterdam).
Owen loves animals all kind, but elephants
and giraffes are one of the favourites
(so Mike...how about a giraffe?)

Here you see Owen playing with his
Lego/Duplo animals.

And you know what, in the zoo shop they have scrap things too.
How about this wonderful elephant washi tape!
You will see this for sure on one of my pages.

The sentiment on the card is also from
the Club Scrap Aspen kit.
With the ribbon I covered the fence around the elephants.
This ribbon is also from the Aspen kit.

The elephants are stamped with Club Scrap
hybrid mahogany ink and sprinkled with
clear embossing powder. This gives a bighter color.
Then the elephants are cut out and with some
double sided tape added to the card.

Have a creative day!

MS Summer Challenge

Here ismy card for the Michael Strong
Summer Challenge.

For me the best part of Summer is when the
sun is shining, your outside and enjoying it!

SoI created this sun with the Michael Strong
cloisonné circle stamp and the leave stamp.

I love Mike's alphabet and it looks great on a card
or on a scrapbook page. You can make any word
you want and punch it out with the right oval punch.

The letters are embossed with off white embossing
powder. It looks a little like sand on the beach.

The sun parts are stamped on shiny  gold paper
and embossed with gold embossing powder.
For some extra effect little sticky gemstones
are added in various sizes.

Hope you all are enjoying your Summer.
Have a creative day!

Sunday Scrap Page:Midnight in Istanbul

This week I finished my last page from my Istanbul trip.
It is made with a combination of Club Scrap papers
and Michael Strong stamps.

First i show you how I made the border:
I tok a strip of white paper to make this border
(2,5"x 12") and sprayed it with these three Dylusion colors
of spray ink. I trdried it with my heat gun.
To stamp I used Michael Strong's cloisonné medaillions
and you can find them here
I stamped them in versamark and used
different colors of embossing powder.
Here you see the finished border.
If you click on the picture, you can see
a larger version of it.
On the page there is some more decoration
with ribbon attached to the picture and
some tiny sticky gemstones.

If you click on the picture you can read the
journaling on the page.

Also in the border I added some sticky gemstones.

The Club Scrap papers I used are from the
Navajo kit and the Picnic kit.

Thanks for looking and enjoy your Sunday.

Have a creative day!

Saturday card: Seahorse

Summer is here!
Nice warm weather,so time for summer cards.
Summer makes me thing of the sea and so I got out
and stamped them on kraft paper.
I stamped themwith black archival ink and
colored them with pencils. On kraft paper this
gives a nice soft look.

The white piece of paper is torn and decorated with
two sizes of punchinella that I used as masks
with light and dark blue ink and a blending tool

The seaweed in the background is stamped with versamark
and embossed with silver embossing powder.

Some ribbon and sticky silver gemstones
are used to finish of the card.

Thanks for looking!
Have a creative day!

Happy 4th of July

With this card  want to wish all my American friends:

This card is also for the 65th card sketch

For the background of this card I used
the Michael Strong honeycomb template
with red and blue distress ink. I only slightly
used the color to have a soft touch.

For the focalimage i used the large cloisonné star
that you can find here. I stamped in black and embossed it black
on watercolor paper.I used the same red and blue distress inks for coloring.
You press the inkpad to your craftsheet and spritz some water on it.
Now you have ink for coloring.
Some extra touches of glitterglue gold to make it more festive.

The sentiment is a Hero Arts stamp.

Thanks for looking

and have a creative day!

Birthday Boy

Happy 2nd birthday dear Owen!

Those of you who also follow me
on Facebook know this is my grandson
and he is with me every Tuesday on Oma Day.
I cannot believe how time flies and
he is celebrating his 2nd birthday.
Such a lively and adorable little boy.
It is a party every time he is here!!

Of course so I made him a card
and I was inspired by
for this card:
Stencil and stamps are all by Tim Holtz
and on his blog you can see the
tutorial of the techniques I used.
Owen loves animals and when he comes here,
the elephant is the first he pics out of the box
of duplo blocks and other items.
He also loves the song about the elephant
and Elmo the elephant on you tube. We have
watched it together already many times.

I was very happy to see the new set called Big Top
and of course had to have it ;-)

How to make the bow
and do the background technique
you find on the blog of Tim.

Loving the sentiment.

Let's have a party now!

Thanks for looking.
