Spring Coffee Blog Hop3: cards and GIVEAWAY

While I still can,I want to add another card
to the hop,not to win,but just
to share my love for making coffee cards.

with a lot more cards for inspiration.

I have many coffee stamps and someI don't
even know which brand, but they are just somuch fun to use.
Today I wanted to make cards where, when looking
at them,you smell coffee!

For this deep dark brown card I made the background
with the sizzix coffeebean embossing folder.

I used paper that I sprayed wih this rich coffee
colered glimmer mist. Once I had it embossed I used
sandpaper to give it alittlecontrast.
The stampes are by Enchanted Ink.
For the inside of the card I used
coffee ring stamp by Club Scrap
sentiment from My sentiments Exactly
and the cup from Enchanted Ink

For the seccond card I also made my own background.
First I added some grains of bistre (naturaland yellow)
and sprayed some water for coloring. Want to know more
about bistre or where to buy,go HERE.
On top i stamped with coffee beans from an old Stampin'Up!
se and the Club Scrap coffee ring.

The image is by Inkadinkado and colored with pencil.
Here you have a good view of the background, esp.when you
click on the picture to see the larger version.
The sentiment on this card is by a company called
Morning Star. I am a real collector of coffee stamps,
so I am sure you will see more coffee cards in the future.

As a collector,it sometimes happens that you buy a stamp
you like twice.I think with all you coffee lovers,
this is a good time for a GIVEAWAY. I have
these two stamps here for you!
So leave a comment and I would love it if
you became  a follower of my blog.

Spring Coffee Blog Hop2

I could not resist making some more cards

This card is made with Club Scrap Blueprint papers
and Mocha Java stamps. The technique of this card
is called "Modern Grid" and is an oldie but goodie

I used the daffodils - a real spring flower - as the color
palet for my cards.
For this modern grid - technique you start with randomly
stamping some images on a white background. Don't stamp
too close together, leave enough white space.
Next take a grid rulerand a black pen. I made 1 inch squares,
but you can make any size that you like or fits your card.
You can add some doodling in some squares
before starting to color.
I colored the squares with water color crayons,
leaving somesquares white too. The sticky pearls
I added I colored with SU! blendabillities markers.

For this card I used Club Scrap papers and a
a Stampin'Up! stampset called Perfect Blend.

The coffee cup is stamped on the different colors
of paper and colored with awhitepencil.

The little spoon is a Club Scrap mocha java stamp
stamped on shrink  plastic and added to the ribbon
with a metal ring.

Thank you for looking.
Have a creative day!

Coffee Blog Hop

For many years I love making coffee cards
using all kinds of stampbrands to make
my cards. I love my Club Scrap
mocha java stamps and  my Michael Strong

I also have this great bean background
folder from Sizzix.

Now I found this Spring Coffee Blog Hop,

For ths hop I created some Spring coffee cards, for
this time of the year lots of my friends have the flue
and need to be perked up!
Sending some flowers with a card is always a good one.

For my cards I used Club Scrap
digital 50s Kitchen and papers from the Club
Scrap Picknick kit. The coffee cups are by
Michael Strong.

The background paper of this card is printed with my computer
from the CS 50s Kitchen digital download.

I love to use some leftover for decoration inside
the card.

Here I used the Sizzix embossing folder as
background. The vertical strip is also printed
from the same 50s Kitchen download.

Here also the decorated inside of the card.

Thanks for stopping by.
Have a creative day!

London Calling card2

I am having fun with my
London Calling unmounted stamps!

Suddenly I had this idea of combining
it with the Club Scrap 2012 What a Hoot!
unmounted stamps.
I share with you how I got all these stamps
into one picture. For these you need some
extra post-it paper to do a little masking trick.
First stampthe owl and the sentiment.

Now stampit again on a post-it note
and cut out the owl. For the sentiment I cut
it out like a talking balloon in a comic book.

Cover the owl and the sentiment with the
post-it cut out and stamp the large
London Calling collage on top.
Remove the masks and color the image
with pencils of your choice.

After coloring I added the London Calling sentiment and ribbon.
Matted the image and glued it to the card. Done!

Have a creative day!

London Calling Card

Club Scrap London Calling
just asked for something with a phone and card.
So how about a phone wallet card?
I came up with this template for the card.
(click on the picture for a larger version)
This is the base of the card.
You need a piece of cardstock of 7,75 inch x 5,5 inch.
The front of the card is decorated bij stamping
with the use of the unmounted stamps that
came with the kit.

Here you see the inside of the card.
I added a pocket on the left and made the right
side looking like a phone.

Inside the pocket I created a card,
that looks a little like a bus card.
Inside your phone wallet you either have
a credit card or a bus card (or both).

The pocket is a piece of cardstock of
2 1/4"x 3 1/4" from a piece of
decorated paper with washi tape. With a
punch I made the half circle.
This is the ticket out of the pocket.
The middle line is stamped
with the English bus stamp and the circles
are the wheels of the bicycle.

On the right side this phone look is created by
cutting an extra panel. The circle is punched out
and on top I cut the regtangle with a knife. They
both reveal th background color.

The phone image is the collage stamp and with
the washi tape I made a few banners for decoration.
The stamped image is colored with pencils.
For the closure I used a sticky velcro circle.
I was also thinking of a magnet closure (but did not have one).

Thank you for looking!
Have a creative day!

Sunday Scrap Page: Utasound

week 5

Here is another scrap page in the Project Lyfe style.
This time I went with my DD to the ultrasound. Now that
she is expectin twins, she has an ultrasound every month
to keep checking out if everything is allright.

It is absolutely fabulous to see how clear the
ultrasound is these days.
You see the baby, the hand, everything.

Journaling done with the computer and the image
is one of the cut-a-parts from the CS Oh Baby papers.

The hand stamp is by Michael Strong and embossed
in a copper color. The way the fingers are folded
is sign language for "I Love You".

On that day we learned that the babies were two boys.

Thank you for looking,

Hav a creative day!
