Club Scrap Artist Team challenge: Bleach

Every month the Club Scrap Artist Team
has  a technique challenge and this
month it is
~stamping with bleach~

You can find out about the technique on the
I have two cards for you to share.
I have been trying with bleach on my papers,
but did not get a great result. Not every paper
works with the bleach. Then I remembered
I did a technique called "Batik Bleach"
(click on the words and you have a printable tutorial)
and that is what I want to share with you here:
I put some papers in a box and took two spray
inks that fitted the papers of the
September "Transformations"- kit: blue and green.
You can use any spray ink you have.
I guess you know why the paper is in a box, because
you don't want ink everywhere on your desk!
After spraying let the ink dry or use your
heat gun if you are in a hurry.
Prepare a tray with a few layers of paper towel
and add some (cheap) bleach.
Take your stamp and use the bleach pad for
stamping. You will notice it takes a little while
to react completely.
These are the two backgrounds I made with some
of the rubber stamps from the
"Transformations"- kit.
Now the pannels are ready to use on a card.
This kit came with some beautiful sentiments
that are great to stamp on this background and
emboss with black embossing powder. The stones
are stamped on black paper and embossed with silver.
As i used only half of the stone pile on the front of the card,
I used the other half on the inside for decoration.
The second card is with the ginko stamp.
As our neigbours have such a tree in front of their house,
I have many pictures and see that the eaves are starting to fall now.
Besides the bleached background, I also stamped the
leaves on shrink plastic for decoration on top
of the card as falling leaves, to go with the sentiment.

I glued them on the card with glossy accent and added
also glossy accent on top of the leves to make them shine.
The little strip i had left over i stamped with gold
ink and the leave for decoration inside the card.

Have a creative day!

Cupcake Inspiration 327: Lace

Today I worked again on the Cupcake Inspiration
challenge and this time "lace" is the theme.

I made this card with several older Club Scrap
stamps I have from various kits.
Do you know the 3 kits I used and I send you
my card as a prize!

As I do not hav any lace around, I thought to make my
own lace background with this border stamp.
I stamped it with versamark and embossed it with
white embossing powder.

Next I took some encore gold and colored the
background. With a paper towel I rubbed the inked
of the embossed part. It gave it a vintage look.

On top I stamped the cupcakeand embossed it
with white and gold embossing powder.
A white ribbon around the card and adding a fork
charm,so you can dig into the cupcake right away!

Thank you for looking!

Tim Holtz September tag: Shanah Tovah

On the first day of the Jewish New Year,
I share with you my Tim Holtz
On Tim's blog you can see all the original
instructions for his tag,
but I made my own version.
I started with making the backround tag with
the following distress sprays: brushed pewter, peeled paint
and iced spruced.

Next is to make the alcoholink background.
As I noticed my gold was dried (need to buy a new bottle)
I choose touse the silver for this tag.

After splashing the ink on my craftsheet,
I did the direct to paper technique and

this is the result.

As i do not have the same paste, Tim used on his,
I took out the texture paste and added this with
a credit card.

When the stencil is off it looks like this.
When all was drie, I colored the paste with
cracked pistachio distress ink.
I choose to get the Crazy Birds out for my tag.
Stamped themon manilla paper and colored them.
On top alayer of frosted film for glitter effect.
The apples are punched out of a piece of scrap paper
and colored with cracked pistachio ink. Added with
a foam tape to the bird. The bird is cut out with my new thinlets!!

The sentiment for this card is in Hebrew and means:
a Happy and Sweet New Year.
It is embossed in silver on gray paper to give the
metal inpression.

Close up of the bird with the apple, covered with glossy acent.
Why the apples? On New Years eve we eat a sweet apple with
honey to wish each other a very sweet year,

Have a creative day!

Sunday Scrap Page: Shanah Tovah

Raymond and I
wish our family
and friends all
over the world
that the coming year
may be filled with
health and happiness
and sweet memories.
L'Shanah Tovah Umetukah

This scrap page is made with the new Club Scrap kit
for September called Transformations.
The Hebrew new year wish is typed with my computer
and the English sentiment is by Create with TLC.
The flower is from my stash but the clasp in the heart
as well near the photo came with the Club Scrap
kit and so did the ribbon. The leaves are stampd from the
Art Nouveau unmounted rubber stamps.

This border I made wiith the honeycomb stencil  from
Michael Strongs Hanhah's Busy Bee stamp set
and the bee stamp.. Tjhe apples are Michael Strong's
latest digital stamp. You find it on his blog.

This time I colored the apple digital (with the help of a collegue
at work) and I add it here for you if you want to use my version.
Just pringt and cut.I used the leaves that came with the Club
Scrap Transformation kit.

Have a creative day!

Saturday card for Rosh Hashanah

Today I have more for you than just a card.
I start with the card.
Yes,it is another one for the Jewish New Year.
I used some Create with TLC subway art
in combination with Michael Strong's
Rosh Hashanah Subway Art Printable
You find the subway art HERE for only $ 1.25.

The small tulips are stamped on green and red paper
and first embossed and then cut out to model
them on the card.

But i also made this legal sizeartwork to frame
and put on my side table for the New Year.
I printed the subway art a larger size then
used for the card.
After i printed the subway art I covered it with
post it notes. Then I took the honey comb stencil and
created a border around the word art.
Here you see how it looks when finished with the
stenceling and taking away the post it notes.
Here you see it finished. I used again my home made
pomegranate stamps (see here) and the Busy Bees
and Hebrew sentiment from Zum Gali Gali.

Have you noticed the cute pomegranate boxes?
I found the template HERE and thought it looked
great for decoration. Everyone on my dinner table
get's one with a sweet chocolate inside!
Oh how sweet the New Year will be!

Have a creative day!

Michael Strong's digital apple

Here I am again with Michael Strong's

This time I have another fun card idea for you
that involves some computer skill.I
I told you I don't have much,so this skill
classifies as very easy!
Start by printing the size of apple you
want on white paper (I even added a sentiment)
Print the same image on colored paper.
I choose red, green and light yellow.

The white paper I cut to the size of the right panel
for my card (4 x 5,25 inch - my card is 4,25 x 5,5 inch).
The colors of the apple are going to be layered,
so i cut the red apple for the 1st layer, the green
one for the 2nd layer and the light yellow is the core.

Take some foam tape and add to the background of the layers.

Now stick all the layers on top of each other.

Can you see the layers?
And here is the finished card.
Of course I had to use some ink!

The sentiment is adigital sentiment by
Jewish New Year Set
and you find it here.

  1.  Added a few glitter gemstones
  2. and also some honeycomb around the apple with a stencil.

And here is the bee again,so adorable with the
heart on it's body. It is from Hannah's Busy Bee stamp set.

Have a creative day!
