Snow in The Netherlands

iced
When it snows in The Netherlands,
there is a kind of fever:
children need to play, skate and have fun
and the parents too!
On television a lot of talk about it
and wondering how long we can
 skate on natural ice.
smiley
And everyone is out with the camera
making beautiful pictures.
So...what to do with all these pictures?
Print them and hang them!
And this is what I did:

I printed a few matching sentiments
by Create with TLC and cut
them out with spellbinders.
Glues sentiment and background together
and used some ordinary wooden pegs
and glued these to the text circles.

Create with TLC Blog Hop: for the Birds

Welcome to the

With lots and lots of
FREE digital images if you hop
from blog to blog.

If you came here from
you are ready for the next freebie.
Do grab my bird and see what
I have made for you:
a card and a tag:

(click on this picture and save it
to your computer)

I made the card with this lovely bird picture
for a sketch challenge.
I love doing sketches and I found this blog
where there are many sketches.
A new one every week.
Here is my sketch for Mojo Monday 275

What i like about doing sketches
is that you are challenged to do something
you otherwise would not think of.

The focal image is colored with watercolor crayons.
I love the soft tones of the crayons.
The leaves are cut with a die and brushed some
green ink around the borders.
Little gemstone flowers are added for some bling.

The card is build up of many layers
you see best from the side.

The sentiment is also by Create with TLC.

Here a tag with the bird,
for some more inspiration.
Background done with distress stain
direct to paper technique:
broken china, peacock feathers, brushed pewter.
Also musical washi tape is added
to the tag.
The picture of the bird is colored with
distress markers and waterpen.
The wing stamp on the background is tattered wings
by Stampers Anonymous. Some glitterglue on top
of the black stamp and also on the flowers and the bird.

Now you want to move on
and grab more images,
but first I want to thank
these images and giving them to the
design team to share with you.

Here is the complete list of
where to find all the free images:

Remember Blog Hop Sunday!

On Sunday January13
has another blog hop for you.
And you know that means lots of FREEBIES!

So do stop by if you can.

I love using pictures of old cars
and had to use the picture to
make this card.

It reminds me of a fun time I spend with my friend
in the US visiting a car museum in Reno.
One could dress up there and make pictures
with your own camera. Doesn't it look like fun?!
Have a creative day!
see you Sunday..........

To celebrate this there is a challenge at

On my table where some leftover pieces
and did not want to dump them,

Owl on scrap page

Michael Strong's new owl stamp
is not only wonderful for cards and tags,
it is also great to use on a scrap page!

For this page I used Club Scrap papers
and the leaves i made with my cricut.

The text on this page is printed with the computer.
I used a fun free font on dafont.com that is called tight writer.
You can download it here:

Here a detailed picture of the owl,
which is decorated with
a layer of two buttons for the eyes.
The wing and paws are colored with distress markers.

The owl is cut out with scissors, but my information
is, that soon there will be owl die cuts.
