Passover celebrations

So here is my page of the Passover celebrations at home.
It was the first time for the twin and they had a little
bite of the matzah. Not sure of they really liked it.

I used Club Scrap Random Doorways papers and
sentiment at the bottom of the page.

Tomake the matzah frame around the pictures,I printed a piece
of matzah of the same size as the picture.
I used this:

With a ruler I cut out the middle part,
leaving half an inch border.

The star on the pageis made with the triangle stamp

I stamped the image twice on the middle part that
I cut out of the frame and embossed it with
copper colored embossing powder.

In the background you see again the stencil,
that i also used on the card here. The sentiment
here is by Create with TLC and the round
matzah is cut out with a punch.

We had such a wonderful evening,
yes, new memories where made.

Thanks for looking.
Have a creative day!

Happy Passover

Today is the first day of Passover.
A Jewish holiday always starts the night before.
Today it is also Shabbat, so two celebrations in one.

So here yet another Passover card with a
sentiment by Create with TLC
and the cloisonné nesting square stamp

For the background I started with making
a color burst background. With turquoise and
chartreuse  spritzt on the background and sprayed
with water you get this wonderful colored background.

While the other piece is drying,I took a piece
of turquoise paper and stamped with the square
stamprandom around the border with ground expresso
distress ink.

Now the color burst background is dry,I stamped
the square stamp on it and embossed it with silver
embossing powder.

Here a close up.

The sentiment is cut with a spellbinder die
and around the sides dipped in versamark and also
embossed with silver embossing powder.
The sentiment is fastened to the background with a silver ribbon
and the border has a little more bling with  a few
gemstones and pearls for decoration.

Thanks for looking.
Happy Passover and Shabbat Shalom.

Passover 2016

And then Passover is here:
The soupis made, the matzoh balls ready,
table  nearly ready.....

So I want to wish my Jewish (stamping) friends
all over the world a very Happy Passover
and a great sederevening celebration
with all your family and friends.

For the background of this card I used a david star
embossing plate as a stencil. Worked perfectly.
Used some post it paper to cover the sides, so no
ink would come in the wrong place.

Here you see the finished background.

And here is how I made the matzot:
used a square punch and a crumbler.

Roll the squares through the crumbler
and add some vintagephoto distress ink.
Don't they look yummy?!

Oh, and I want to share the name cards for
the grandchildren.Of course they do not get a bottle
of water. 2 jars of fruity baby  snack for the twin
boys and a fruit shoot for big brother.

I had so much fun creating my decorations this year.
The digital sentiment is by Create with TLC
and the seder plate is a rubber stamp by

Thank you for looking.

Have a very Happy Passover!

Passover decorations 2

While finising my matza people for the
name tags on the water bottles (see yesterdays
post here),I also made a card with some
of the leftovers.

The same chevron paper I used around the
jar and the bottle is here the background of the
card. Then the stamped and embossed matzot
with a digital sentiment by Create with TLC,
that came with the monthly digital club.

Now finish the cooking and aranging the table.
Are you ready?
Thanksfor looking.

Passover decorations

Now Passover is getting so close,
I need something to decorate the table.
So I started with this potrose
and a very big glass jar.
The rose goes into the pot and now
on to decorting the jar.

I printed  some pieces of
blue chevron lines landscape on
lettersize paper.

If you like this too, here is the background I used.
Feel free to save this to your computer.

Then I printed a few sentiments ,that came with
the digi club of Create with TLC.

As I did not like it to be too clean and white,
I used a stencilfrom Club Scrap to make
this flower in the middle as a background.
First a green ribbon around the jar, before adding the
sentiments. Why green:well,Passover is also a
Spring Holiday.

For moredecorations,I stamped and embossed the
matzah stamp from Ruth's Jewish stamps.
Then I cut them all out.

I created aboy and a girl out of the matzot, because
I want to use them as name cards for the table. With the
grandchildren around the table I wanted to have something
that would catch their eyes.

So on the center piece it looks like this.

And the name cardsare not really cards.
I had the idea of adding the a water bottle to
each plate and use these as the name card.

On one side you see the Pesach wish
(digi stamp from Create with TLC)

and on the other side the name of the person
who is sitting at that place at the table.

Depending on the gender on the person, it will
be a male or female version.

Hope this gives you some inspiration for your
table. If your (grand)children are a bit older
then mine, you could make these fun decoration
together with them.
When all is on the table,I will add another picture.

Thank you for looking.
Have a creative day!

Passover with Create with TLC and Mojo Monday 444

On Friday, April 22nd,  the Jewish Holiday of Passover starts.
It is the commemoration of the Exodus of the Jews from Egypt.
If you want to know more about this Holiday go HERE.
So of course I need some cards.

When I saw this weeks Mojo Monday sketch
this idea popped into my head right away.

On the Mojo Monday Blog you can see more
samples of what people have made with this sketch.

On the circle you see the Hebrew word for Passover - Pesach.
It is on a Seder plate, which is a central symbol on the
celebration table. This is a stamp from Ruth's Jewish Stamps.
In the background you see I stamped matzot -
unleaved bread that we eat during the week of Passover.
This also a stamp from Ruth'sJ ewish stamps. I used
ground expresso and vintage photo distress ink.

The sentiment you see here is a digital sentiment by
Create with TLC and is printed on the green paper.

Here another card with a sentiment by Create with TLC.
This time I used a music stencil for the background,
for we do a lot of singing around the table.

I used broken china distress ink and a blending tool
to get the color on the card.

The same matza stampfrom above is here
stamped with versamark and embossed with
copper colored embossing powder. After cutting
them out I arranged them as a border on
the card. Now I have to think of some decoration
for the table. Want to see what I did last year?
Go HERE. Comes with instructions too.
Meanwhile I put my thinking hat on.

Thank you for looking.
Have a creative day!
