FCD Wacky Wednesday

Today it is Wacky Wednesday again at FireCrackers by Design! By now you must know that this means 50% discount on a certain rubber stamp set. This time it is "Yoga 1 - Chakra's". As I do not have this set myself, I haven't made you a sample card. But visit FireCrackers gallery and see some of the wonderful samples HERE.

But I did make a "wiper" card. A great kind of moving card. You find the tutorial HERE, good instructions even with a video. For this card I used one of FireCrackers digital stamps "Celebrating Frog" and the matching text: Hoppy Birthday (which is for free). The plain paper is from the Bazzil collection and the decorated scrap paper if from Basic Grey. The frog is colored with copic markers.

Beweeg kaart/ Wiper card

Vandaag een leuk lesje gevonden op Splitcoast Stampers voor een "wiper" kaart. Je neemt de kaart in beide handen en beweegt hem heen en weer. Dan zie je dat sprietje boven aan in en uit de kaart gaan. Leuk toch?!

Je kunt de instructie HIER vinden. De blauwe kaart is gemaakt met papier en stempels van Club Scrap Expressions en de groene kaart is gemaakt met stempels van Michael Strong.

Today I found a nice tutorial on Splitcoast Stampers for a "wiper" card. You take the sides of the card and move it to and fro and you see the little thing move in and out of the card. Isn't that fun! Would you like to try this too? HERE you can find the instructions. The Blue card is made with Club Scrap Expressions papers and stamps and the green card is made with Michael Strong stamps.

Recept kaart/ Recipe card

Vandaag heb ik een lekker kaartje voor je, dat ik heb gemaakt voor een recepten swap. Ik heb van Creative Cuts & More een aantal die cuts ontvangen, waarbij dit schort zat. Het is zeer geschikt voor een receptenswap, omdat er een vakje in zit waar je een kaartje met een recept in kan doen. Ik heb de kaart versierd met de Stenciled Collage techniek  van de Technique Junkies (Augustus 2008 en als je eens goedkoop kennis wil maken met de Technique Junkies, lees dan even hier onder) en stencil en stempels zijn van Club Scrap. Omdat het een recept is van pannekoeken met aardbeien en slagroom, heb ik een aardbei aan het schort gehangen. Hiervoor heb ik een wine charm ring gebruikt. Het patroon en de uitleg van de aardbei kun je HIER vinden.

Today I am showing you a delicous card that I made for a recipe swap I am in. I just got these great dies from Creative Cuts & More that look like an apron and have a pocket to insert a recipe card. I have used the Stenciled Collage technique (from August 2008 Technique Junkies not a member of TJ and want to try it cheap? read below) to decorate the apron. Stencil and stamps are from Club Scrap. As the recipe is a Dutch Pancake with strawberries and whipped cream (yummie!! mail me if you want it!) I attached a little strawberry to the apron on a winecharm wire. The template for the strawberry can be found HERE and goes with instructions.

Vaderdag/ Father's Day

Vandaag deze pagina gemaakt met het juni papier van Club Scrap. Raymond stond mijn auto te wassen op vaderdag, lief he. Natuurlijk snel een foto gemaakt. De paisley stempels aann de onderkant zijn van Michael Strong.

Another Wacky Wednesday at FireCracker Design

Elke woensdag in Juni heeft FireCracker Designs een set voor de helft van de prijs. Deze set "Leading ladies"  kost dan nog maar $ 6,50 en het is een lap rubber met heel veel stempels. Oranje kaarten/ Orange card

Gek zeg, vandaag heb ik alleen maar kaarten met oranje gemaakt! Zou het door de voetbal gekte komen?

Gelukkig hebben we met 2-0 gewonnen!

Very strange, but today orange seems to be the color of my cards. Must have something to do with the football all around us in The Netherlands. Today we won 2-0!

Deze eerste kaart is een schetskaart voor de Techno Stamper met technieken van de Technique Junkies (Antique wallpaper en Up and over). De stempels zijn van Club Scrap.

The first card is a sketch card for the Techno Stamper's Blog with  techniques from the Technique Junkie (Antique wallpaper and Up and Over). Stamps are by Club Scrap.

Deze kaart is gemaakt in de patchwork techniek met mijn nieuwe  dames stempels van Home Impression.

De zig zag stempel is van een clear setje en de tekst is van Club Scrap.

This card is made in the TJ Patchwork technique with my new girl stamps from Home Impressions. The zig zag stamps are from a clear set and the text is Clunb Scrap.

Juni Kalender/ June Calendar

Elke maand maak ik een nieuwe kalender pagina op het formaat van 15x 15 cm. Deze maand is het thema natuurlijk een makkie: voetballen. Gaat Nederland winnen? Aan mij zal het niet liggen:

Every month I make a 6 x 6 inch calendar page. The theme for this month is easy: football. Are we going to win? Well, I try to encourage them as much as possible, so they can't blame me!

FCD Eclipse challenge

Over at the FireCracker Design Blog there is a challenge inspired by the Eclipse Books. Even though I never heard of these books and so I never red them, the internet is a wonderful medium to be inspired. So for the FCDblog hop I made this card to inspire you. Also you can go to Pam's site and get yourself a DIGITAL FREEBIE which is absolutely perfect for this challenge.

I found this nice eclipse logo which I printed on my card. If you like it too, you are free to "borrow" it!

I used several different sets, to make this card. There are coffe rings from Escape the Daily Grind, dots distress, and rings from Elephants on Parade.

Tent kaart/ Tent card

Ook vandaag heb ik weer een lesje: een tent kaart! Je kunt hem goed plat maken en in een enveloppe doen.

Today I have another tutorial for you: a tent card. Easy to fold flat and insert in an envelop.

1. Wat heb je nodig? 2x kaart papier van 15x15 cm, een scrap papiertje van 14x14 cm en nog een kaart papier van 10x15 cm.

1. What do you need? 2 pieces of cardstock 6x6 inch, 1 piece of scrap paper 5,75x5,75 inch an 1 piece of cardstock 4 x 6 inch.

2. Plak het scrapvelletje op het kaart papier en snij een rondje, vierkant of ovaal (naar keuze) uit het missen van de kaart. Dit kan met Nestabillities of met een mesje en een liniaal.

2. Glue the piece of scrap paper to your cardstock. In the middle of the paper you cut a square, circle or oval shape (whatever you like). This can be done with nestabilities, but also by hand with a knife and ruler.

3. Nadat je de voorkant van de kaart hebt gedecoreerd moet het geheel in elkaar gezet worden. Hiervoor heb je het stuk van 10x15 cm nodig, dat je in de lengte in vieren vouwt en dan als harmonica. Plak zowel voor als achterkant van de kaart aan de onderkant hieraan vast en tot slot ook de bovenkanten. Nu kan de kaart staan op de gevouwen harmonica.

3. After you have decorated the front of the card, we have to assemble the card. For this you need the 4x6 inch piece.This is folded in four parts lengthwise and made into a harmonica. Both front and back piece are glued to this piece, then you lift it up and glue the top together. Now the card can stand up on the harmonica piece.

4. In de opening hang je een figuurtje naar keuze. Maak in het figuurtje een gaatje en in de opening. Gebruik een metalen ringetje of een lintje om dit aan elkaar te bevestigen.

4. Inside the opening you can hand a little picture by making a hole both in the picture and in the opening. You can use a little metal ring or a ribbon to hang the picture.

5. Aan de achterkant kun je dan de tekst van je kaart schrijven.

5. On the backside of the card you can add your text.

Wacky Wednesday at FireCracker Designs

Today is Wacky Wednesday at FireCraker Design: 50% discount on this ATC set of rubber stamps.

And to inspire you I have a tutorial and some ATC to share.

But first: wat is an ATC? The letters stand for  Artist Trading Card. It is a little piece of art on the size of a credit card. Everything is aloud:Stamping, collage etc. The only thing that cannot be changed is the size: 64mm x 89 mm or 2.5 x 3.5 inch.These cards are not for sale! You trade them with one another. Or it is the most wonderful item for swaps! The back of the card is signed with your name, date and number of cards and the name of the ATC.

I made this little booklet for you, where you can insert 3 ATC's and send them for a swap in a creative way to someone else. What do you need: some cardstock, ribbon, eyelet, tools for eyelets, ink and stamps. Also you need some plasic ATC 9 Pocket Page Protectors.

1. Start with cutting the plastic Page protector in 3x 3 pockets.

2. Cut a piece of 4,5 inch x 8,07 inch. You click on the picture below to enlarge it and see the exact measurements for folding the booklet. If you like a more round flap, you can draw it to your liking on the right side.

3. In both of the small spines you make two holes for eyelets.

4. On top of the left 2 holes you lay the plastic page protector and also make some holes. Take two eyelets and fasten them through booklet and plastic.

5. On the right spine you just fasten the 2 eyelets and put the ribbon through. Make two knots on the inside of the booklet.

6. Whether you have a straight or round flap, you can close it with a magnet or some velcro.

Now start stamping your ATC's to add in your booklet (purse).

Club Scrap Expressions

Hoera, mijn nieuwe Club Scrap kit is gearriveerd vandaag! Natuurlijk moest ik er meteen mee aan de slag. Voor het kaartje heb ik het tissue papier gebruikt en bespoten met glimmer mist. Het is een techniek, die ik al eerder besproken heb. Hier kun je het lesje zien:

Yes!! My June Club Scrap kit has arrived today. Of course I had to make something with this kit. I used the tissue paper that was inside the kit and sprayed it with glimmer mist. It is a a technique I  have explained before. Take a look here:
