HamboHoedown 39

Here is my  idea for
with the Newscaster image that we got
in the ongoing challenge at Hambo.
If you play every week, you get a free
image every week.

This time I did not make a card, but a bookmark,
which is easy to make.

This is what you need:
1 strip of paper: 2,75 x 11 inch ( or 7x28 cm)
2 pieces of magnet strip
your image and decorations
a corner punch

instructions for the bookmark:
Fold the long strip of paper in half,
so the bookmark measures
2,75 x 5,5 inch ( 7x14 cm).
Inside the bookmark you add the magnet strips
at the bottom. This way you can fold the bookmark
over a page in your book and will not fall out,
 because the magnet will
hold the bookmark in its place.

Of cource you can decorate the bookmark
anyway you want. I used a strip of newspaper,
some colored paper, my Hambo image
 (colored with copic markers),
brads and my corner rounder punch.

Hope this inspires you for some neat presents.

Halloween around the corner 4

Suddenly I had a fun idea of making a bat
Below you can see how i constructed this. I also
used the SU! bat punch for the body.
On the body I alsi stamped a little.
I used black paper and silver embossing powder.

For the background and the inside
I used Tim Holtz new stamp set, that
coordinates with an embossing folder.

This is the inside of the card with a
creepy plastic spider to hold the card.
The card is a Twisted Easel card and is one
of 70 projects on the new to be released
3D Fun Folds CD by the Technique Junkies.
You find all detailed  {HERE}.

Halloween around the corner 3

Today I have a Halloween scrap page for you.
These pictures were made last weekend in
Walibi World The Netherlands. My husbands DD
was one of the performers for the yearly Halloween event.

She was very well made up and very scarry.
As this is not my cup of tea, my DH went with his other DD
and the rest of the family. I stayed home and
looked at the pictures afterwards. They had a wonderful time.

For this page I used:
Club Scrap Commic papers
(orange and purple is from my stash)
Tim Holtz tree and cat die
Michael Strong Fleur de Lis stamp and metal die.
This stamp is great to use for a corner.
Here you see a close-up!

Halloween around the corner 2

Today I created a Trick or Treat box out of
an empty pringles tube.
First I googled this skeleton and printed it
on some green paper to glue to the tube.

This is the lid of the box. I used the circle stamp of Michael Strong
to decorate the lid. I stamped it in versamark and used
tree different kinds of embossing powder.
The circles are cut out with a few sizes of nestabillities.

This is the inside of the lid using the
leftover paper from the outside
and the sentiment is from Great Impressions.

The little one eye monsters and the ghost
are made with the
Stampin'Up! owl punch
and a circle punch.
For the front of the box I used the Cloisonné Alphabet
by Michael Stong embossed in white. The background
is embossed with the spiderweb folder and fastened
around the tube with baker's twine from Sew Easy.

The text "trick or treat" is printed with the computer.

Halloween around the corner

With Halloween around the corner it is
so much fun to play with my Tim Holtz stuff.
His blog is so inspiring, you just have
to create something yourself.

For this card, I used the new Halloween stamps and
embossing folder. Also the witch die (bat) and the long
rosette sizzix die.

Fot the inside I used the raven and cat die
(from my friend! thank you!!)
and the inside sentiment is a stamp from Great Impressions.

On the outside I made a rosette with scrap paper.
On top is the bat that is decorated with glossy accent.
The 3 colors of bakers twine is from Sew easy.
More tomorrow!

On the road with CTlc

When I got this image from Create with TLC
I knew right away what to do with it:
making it into a men's card.

My husband collects mini cars as you
can see next to this card.

For this card I used some Tim Holtz
metal elements and also the new Kraft-Core
nostalgic collection paper. I embossed it
with the sunray embossing folder and sanded
it down with sandpaper.

The image is colored with
copic markers.
Both the image and the sentiment

Enjoy this Scrap page

Today another scrap page. I have these hydrangeas in my garden and
can't stop making pictures, esp. when I found some of that
lovely - but old -  K&Company paper to go with it.

For decorations I used Michael Strong stamps
and Tim Holtz rosette sizzix die.

The Michael Strong stamp you see here is called:

And here you see Michael Strong's Cloisonné Leaves
stamped with Victorian Velvet distress ink.

The sentiment is by Create with TLC
and printed with the computer and fastened on a Tim Holtz tag.
