Ok, so you can't have everything!
Todays lesson on Creative Chemistry 101
by Tim Holtz is all about reinkers.
I only have one: vintage photo.
So....what to do?!
Tag #1 coloring with reinkers...not possible with one only,
so I stamped my boat image by Crafty Individual
and colored it with the distress inkpads and a waterbrush.
The background of the tag is done in the spritz and flick technique.
Tag #2 was done with making your own spray
with reinkers. This I replaced by my collection of
glimmermists and I used my steampunk stencil.
I love the idea of a two layerd way of spraying.

Tag #3 with making your own inkpad. I have looked
at all my bottles to see what I could use and this is what I came
up with. Three bottles: brown, yellow and blue.
And see what you can do with only 3 colors. I think it came
out really well.
Thanks Tim for another day of great inspiration!
Have a creative day!
These are fabulous. I love how colorful the center one is.

Hi Hetty...
ReplyDeleteyou're right the CC101 week has been wonderful and I can immagine how lonely will be my days when the classes will end! ;o(
I do not have re-inkers too(only one a Tea Dye one) and I've done the same you did (water color with ink pads and glimmers for th 2nd).
I've skipped the 3rd, but with only the 3 colors you have you have done REALLY A GREAT JOB!
I love the way you create all your projects.
Have a nice weekend
Manu
You were very versatile using what you had with the last technique as these butterflies turned out to be awesome.
ReplyDeleteThese are fantastic, Hetty! Your colors are gorgeous and I love the way you made it all work with what's on hand.
ReplyDeleteWowzers! You totally rocked those tags!!
ReplyDeleteLol love these tags. I really had to get creative too with my watercolor tag I had one pen and two re-inkers and ended up doing the same things you did- I loved how mine turned out - the main thing is we learned how to work with what we had!
