Sunday Scrap page: Water

Here is my scrap page for the
Club Scrap Weekly Chronicles.

This week it is all about water.
Well, for me it is water from heaven!
To much rain for the
beginning of Summer '13.

Paers for this page are Spring Chorus by
Club Scrap.

The sentiment on top of the page is
a digital image by Create with TLC.

The circles I used as decoration
They are embossed in copper and
each decorated with a blue sticky
gemstone.

Club Scrap Hopes Blog Hop: Memorial to Gosia

Hi,
I am sure you have seen some beautiful artwork
 at Tricia's
Now it is my turn to share my projects for you
with this months Club Scrap Hopes papers.

My blog post is a special one this time.
It is a memorial to my friend and
colleague Gosia Orszulik,
who died a brutal and unnecessary death
and with these projects I want
to pay tribute to her life.

First I have made some scrap pages
with the few pictures I have of her.
Usually you don't make pictures of
colleagues at work, but when you
play P365 (making a picture every day)
you sometimes do. Now I am glad I have these pictures.

Here the two pages together.
I choose to make ALSB pages 11 & 12
It seems like this kit is just perfect for her
and the sentiments are so appropriate.
I tore of some of the paper to symbolize the
sudden way she died. She was only 32 and had
so much going for her.

This is the card I made for her parents. All the co-workers
have written inside. It is a folded 8,5 x 11 inch piece
of paper folded in half.

The flowers are punched out and the candle is made out
of  a woodsie, painted to go with the papers.

This is a poem I typed with the computer and printed out.

As I also always have something with a technique for
you, I made two card with a technique Junkie
technique for you. The technique is called:
Pressed Stains and you find it in the June/July 2013
newsletter if you are a Technique Junkie member.
You need an embossing folder
distress stains
and a water spritzer.

You ink the embossing folder with two
or three colors of your choice,
spritz a little water on top and
add your paper.
Run the folder through the machine.
You get some beautiful background papers
this way. I added some vintage photo all around
the paper with a blending tool.
For the cards I used 1 taupe 8,5 x 11 inch cut in half
and some panels made out of my pops
(pound of paper that I always have as an extra)
I also used it to stamp  the sentiments.

The sentiments are so true and appropriate in this case.
Here the finished cards.
I have been doodleing a little
on the sentiment.

Now for more inspiration hop over to
and see what she has come up with for you
this time.

If you happen to loose your way
or a blog is not up yet,
you can always use the complete list

Sunday Scrap Page: A Pair of Hands

\
Hi! Happy Sunday to you all!

Here  today's page for my weekly chronicle
at the Club Scrap forum.
The theme this week is "A Pair"
and I made it into
~a pair of hands ~
You see my grandson clapping his hands.
It is to a Dutch song and one of the
first moms teach their children.
If you like to know the song,
take a look HERE.
The paper I used is Club Scrap's Cape Cod.
This kit also came with a stencil and I used
the stencil to make the background in red and blue
matching the photo's.
After using the stencil I also stamped some circles
in dark blue. These are from the new June kit "Hopes".
The handstamps are by Michael Strong
and embossed in red and a tiny pearl is
glued in the middle. It is like my hands and my grandson's
together when we clap or do high five.
\The border is a combination of the hand stamps
(Retreat Club Scrap 2010 and designed by
Michael Strong for Club Scrap) and
doodling with a white gel pen.

Saturday Sketch: Inspiration

Today I share with you a card that is based on

I love the watercolor look on
Tim Hotz tag made with
the distress markers.
So if you want to know
how the technique with these
markers is done you must take a
where everything is explained
with lots of pictures.

Here is my card
I used the house stamp
and the mini dog.
The sentiment is by Tim Holtz.
First i stamped the house with archival black
on watercolor paper and colored it
in the Tim Holtz technique with the
use of distress markers.
I made the background with manila tag paper.
Used the direct to paper technique.
I put some picket fence distress ink and
taenished brass distress paint on my craft
sheet with a little water.
When it was dry (with the heat gun) I stamped
the house on it with archival black.
The dock is also colored in the watercolor technique
and the sentiment is stamped with versamark
and embossed with white embossing powder.

Here the inside of the card with the
use of the house stamp
again as a background stamp.
This sentiment is from Darkroom Door.

Sunday Scrap page: Father's Day

Of course I have a  page
for Father's Day and I fitted it
with this weeks theme
of the Weekly Chronicles at
the Club Scrap forum.

The theme is "Recipe"
and for this recipe you just need
1 wonderful baby
to have a Happy Father!

Here you see my SIL with
baby Owen one year ago and
now. I think he is the perfect
ingredient for a Happy Father
and he says so on his t-shirt!

I used Club Scrap Cape Cod papers and
background stamp.

I stamped it with versamark watermark ink
and embossed it with clear embossing powder.
Then I used a blending tool to
add some red and blue ink.
I used fired brick and salty ocean
distress ink by Ranger.

Wishing all Dad's a
