Anyway, you are here now and I have a  tutorial for you today.

You see, my youngest DD asked me to make

a photo collage of her and her boyfriend in celebration

of being together for 3 years: Congratulations love birds!

but....

here in the Netherlands there is no fitting frame

for 12 x 12 inch papers, so I had to come up with

another solution of decorating the empty parts of the

picture frame.

How about making your own matching washi paper

to fill the empty space? This is easy to do.

All you need is: tissue paper, ink, double sided tape,

a kraft knife and your rubber stamps.

There atre two ways to make your own washi tape.

the first way is to stick the double sided tape to the tissue paper

 (it can be white or it can be a color)

Next you cut along the tape and this way you

have your own tape, 

Now we take some colors of stamping ink

to decorate the washi tape to your taste.

After you colored the tape, you take your stamps

and stamp on the washi tape.

Make sure you have some papers underneath.

You can use larger stamps for decorations.

And on the strips it is easy to use a text strip.

I always save my Club Scrap logo from the unmounted sheet

and it is fun to make your own club scrap washi tape.

To use your tape, you just remove the

protection tape from the double sided tape.

Here just a small sample.

The other method of making your washi tape

is using colored paper ( I sprayed some

paper with matching glimmer mist).

Start stamping on the paper

a few different lines in different colors.

When done with stamping, turn your paper and

take the double sided tape.

Ad this on top of your stamping.

When you want some wider tape, 

just add two lines close together.

Take a craft knife and cut your strips.

Now you are ready to use the for decorating.

 lots of your own tape that with your choice of themes.
