My card for today is inspired by a card I found on the
Here you see the card that inspired me:
People very often ask me where do you get all your ideas?
Well browsing the internet is one of them
and I just love to go looking at the Splitcoast
Stampers Gallery. Thanks everyone for your artworks there.
The moment when i saw this card I knew what I was going
to do! Michael Strong's owl in the tree.
First i made a background for this card
with aquarel paper, the Michael Strong
coffee steam stamp and some distress markers.
I stamped with stazon azure blue on the aquarel paper.
I colored with the markers and a water pen to
give the background a look of the sky with clouds.
Here a picture of my finished background.
If you like you can use it for your card
by saving it wih the right mouse click to your computer.
A close up of the center part of the card.
The owl was stamped on shrink plastic
and colored also with distress markers.
After the owl was shrunk a little glitter glue
was added on top.
The sentiment is a gift by my friend Joanne, who makes
these stamps herself. You might want to visit her
ebay shop HERE.
Here you can see all the different layers
on top of each other.
Thank you Melissa ( Monster) on SCS
for inspiring my card.
Have a creative day!

Wat een leuke kaart.
En je vriendin heeft erg humoristische stempels!
This is lovely Hetty, I think the use of the steam for the background is so very innovative.
