Tim Holtz tag for December

I waited a bit towards the end of the month
to share my last
with you
for it is a wish for the New Year.
This is my variation of the tag.
If you want to see all the instructions,
visit Tim Holtz Blog here:

As I do not have the same die Tim used,
I used the Tattered Floral die and an old sizzix leave die.
I did use the frosted film, but I used it on the musical
paper to create this flower.
The gemstone in the heart of the flower is glued on
with glossy accent. The glossy accent is also used to make
water drops on the flower and on the leaves.
The sentiment is an old stamp from
All Night Media and the numbers
are stamps by Michael Strong.

Wishing everyone peace, health,
happiness and lots of creativity in 2014.

Here you see all the tags I have done this year
for the tagsof 2013 and it was absolutely
so much fun to do.
Thank you Tim for all your inspiration.
Please keep on doing this in 2014.

Make it a creative year!

New Year card

Now we move on to the next occasion:
New Year
and we need of course a quick card!

How about using a digital image from Create with TLC?
You can find it here:
The New Year sentiment stamp is by Hero Arts.
And i used two colors of blue to stamp with.
On top of the letters and the baubles I used
glitter glue to give it all an icy look.

(click on the picture for a closer look).

Finish the card with a ribbon and glue the pannel to the card.
Enjoy!

Have a creative day!

Sunday Scrap Page: Best of

For the last page of 2013 on the
the theme is best of 2013.

As there are many highlights in 2013,
the best just happened at the end when my
craft friend from Club Scrap came to my home.
She spend Christmas eve with us and went
back to her son on the 25th.

My page is made with Clyb Scrap Aspen papers
and Michael Strong's middle size Christmas tree.
These fun cut outs that i have put on top of
each other come with the Aspen kit. The leave
stamps are the um stamps from the kit too.

I stamped and embossed the Christmas tree in green
and colored it softly with peeled pained distress ink
and a dark green color pencil.
The glitter is done with stickles.

Have a creative day!

Another calendar for 2014

Today I have another calendar idea for you.
I make theseas gifts for friends and colleagues.
You need a printed calendar (or buy one of these small calendars).
I googled a free printable calendar on internet for you
(save it to your computer and print it the size you need).
The note block is 2,5 "x 5".
Also you need a little notebook with pen (or a post it pad).
The notepad I used is 2,5 inch x 5 inch,

The cardstock you needto make this desktop calendar.
measueres one strip of  4"x 12" and one piece of 6"x 4".
I used Club Scrap Aspen papers.
Start with cutting the calendar in 12 pieces.
You can staple them together or use 2 bads
on either side of the months.

Now take the longer strip and fold it in half.

On one half you make another fold at 3"and
fold this towards the inside.

The final construction looks like this, but before
you glue the front panel to the contruction
you decorate it with stamps and the calendar.

To hold the pen inside this calendar I used a piece of ribbon
and stapled it to the backside of the notebook.

If you want to decorate the inside too, dothis before
you glue the notebook to the card.
Here is the decorated front.
I used Michael Strong's number stamps and
Club Scrap Aspen stamps.
The sentiment is by Hero Arts.
Here a side view of the project.

And of course I did not make them all
the same. Here another one:

Hope I have given you some gift ideas.
May every day be a creative day!

Club Scrap Aspen Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to another
Club Scrap Blog Hop.
This month we present to you the Aspn kit.

Have you come over her from Tricia's Blog
with her always so efficient ideas?

Well, if you get lost, you can always go back to the
where you find a list of all the participants
you must see with all their
wonderful and inspirational creations.

This time of the year, I am always into calenders
and this is what I came up with for you:
It is a desktop calendar that you cannot use only for
the next year, but for all the years to come.
Just change the number of the year!

For this project I used:
Aspen papers
Aspen Stamps
Old set of Monthly stamps from 2007
Centenial casualnubers 2007
a bind-it-all machine

Take one 12x12 inch cardstock of your choice
and fold it in half.
Cut it at 9,5 inch vertical. Use your score-pal to score
at 4 inches from the folded side. The calendar
will be on the top side and below the fold
will be where it stands on.

The folded side will be put into the bind-it-all machine
to make the holes for the owires.
Information about the use of th bind-it-all
you can find here.

I am thankful to have the pops in my kit
and they were cut just right for this project.
I used these strips for the
Months
days
numbers.

Each card is 2"x 3,25""  and the numbers are 2"x 2,5.
I rounded each card with a corner punch.

For the decorating the backgrounds of the cards
I used the UM Aspen stamps
and also these months and number stamps
still in my collection from 2007.
Here you see the finished project, where the owire
holds the cards. This way you can just bring them
to the back of the calendar to adjust the right date.
And you can just make it into any date.
The blackcards are 12, one for every month.
The days of the week are seven cards and
for the numbers you need on one side just 4 cards
(0,1,2,3) and 10 on the other side (1,2,3....9 and 0).
See, any date can be made this way.

A fun sentiment on the calendar for decoration

and the number of the year. This is done with
the cricut machine and can be changed every year.

Now I also work on another calendar idea, but not
finished yes, please come back on Saturday to see
my other desktop calendar.

And now more inspiration on
I am just as curious as you
to see what she has come upwith this time.

Have a creative day!
