Here we are with the Create with TLC Blog Hop
with lots of nature images for you.
At all the stops of this blog hop there is a FREE image to grab.
I hope you came over here from
and downloaded her image.
I have a scrap page a card and a tutorial for you
It was as if Paulette from Create with TLC
had looked into my house, when she send
me my image to share with you:
These are all the orchids on my windowsill and at this
moment they are all blooming beautifully.
So you can imagine, I was happy to share this image with you:
(click on image and with a right mouse click safe to your pc)
And here is the tutorial for you to make
some beautiful background paper, like you see the
green paper on the scrapbook page.
You need:
white paper
spray bottles any kind: dylusions, glimmer mist anything
spray bottle with water
rock salt
and a BOX!
Put your paper in a box ready for spraying.
Take about 3 colors and start with the lightest color.
When finished with all colors, take the water spray bottle
and also add somewater to the colors.
Now take the rock samt and sprinkle it
freely over the paper.
On top you can add a little more colored spraying.
Leave this to dry over night.
And this is how it looks the next morning.
Now you take of the salt and you have some beautiful
handmade background paper.
It is best to make a few at the same time,
so you have a little stash.
These papers are just great to use for embossing
and use as a card too:
When embossed you can add a little ink on
top of the high raised parts to accentuate those parts.
Here is the finished card.On the card as well on the
scrapbook page I colored the image with pencils.
The sentiments are on the card and the page also from
Create with TLC.

ReplyDeleteHi Hetty, I love orchids! I do not have luck with them growing here in NJ. I think it is our drafty old house and the type heat we have. They grew fine in GA.
ReplyDeleteI love your card and layout! They are both so pretty. Thanks for the tutorial. Where do you buy rock Salt? Does it make the paper not be acid free any more? I would like to try this technique. It looks interesting. Love it on your projects. Thanks for sharing your creations and the digi. Edwina Brown edwinabrown@comcast.net
