Saturday card: Happy Days

This card is made again with the Club Scrap
Dungarees kit. I added the Michael Strong
mini cloisonné star stamp and the background
is another Technique Junkies technique.

For the background I choose the Antiqued Wallpaper
technique fromthe June/July 2010 Technique
Junkies newsletter. It is a wonderful and easy
technique that makes great backgrounds.

Then the pocket stamp from the UM Dungarees rubber stamps.
Cut out the pocket and stampwith versamark
the Michael Strong mini cloisonné star and emboss
with red embossing powder.

On a separate piece of red paper I stamped
the star again and embossed it with
pearlscent ivory embossing powder.

Underneath tereis the sentiment.

The star is cut out on top,but underneath
left on the red paper so you can add it to
the pocket like a paperclip.

Here you see the sentiment coming out of the pocket.

See you again with a Dungerees project tomorrow.
Thanks for looking.

More fun with Dungerees TJ Bingo Blast

As my Club Scrap Dungerees kit is still open
on my table I keep on having ideas and just
have to play with it.

Today I have a card for you with in the background
the fun Technique Junkies technique called
Bingo Blast, that you can find in the newsletter
of April/May 2009.

For the background I used distress stains
and a Club Scrap stencil from December 2011.

The sentiment is from the Dungerees UM stamps.
The dotted line is drawn by hand.

I have a feeling that tomorrow there will be more
Dungerees inspiration for you.

Have a creative day!

TH May tag: Boy

So near the end of the month, I finally have time
to make my tag of May for the Tim Holtz
12 tags of 2014. You find his teachings
for this tag over at his blog HERE.

As I had still my Club Scrap Dungarees kit on
the table, I came up with this fun boy tag idea.
I think it will end up on one of the scrap pages
of my grandson!

Now I share with you how I made
this tag:

I started out with the Cape Cod stencil, a tag and
vintage photo distress ink.

I cut out this frame with my tag and bookplate die.
Then I embossed the frame with clear embossing powder.

The background for the frame is decorated  with
a piece of printed Dungarees paper stamped with stars
from the Cape Cod um stamps.
Here a close up of how I decorated the frame
with two pocket stamps and of course something
had to hang out of the pocket!

The sentiment is stamped with a background
stamp fromCape Cod in dark blue and the
words in black.

As the Dungarees stamp was a little to big,
I stamped it with neon blue on shrink plastic
and glued it to the left over oval of the frame.
Made some white stiches around it with a signo pen.

Thanks for looking!

Club Scrap Dungarees Blog Hop

Here we are with the
Club Scrap Dungarees Blog Hop.

You might have arrived here from Tricia's Blog
with her wonderful ideas and projects for you.

If you lose your way,you can always go back to the
Club Scrap Create Blog and see the list of
all the participants of this hop.

I have a scrap page and a card for you
and I used my stencils on both of them.

This kit is absolutely perfect for boy lay-outs
and I am  so lucky to have a grandson, who is
the perfect subject to scrap about.

I am absolutely in love with all kinds of stencils lately
and they are just great to use to make your own backgound.

For the jeans pocket I had some help from the video by Tricia,
that you can find HERE. She shows you how easy it is to
make the pocket with the stencil that comes with the kit.

The red paper is decorated with one of the stamps
from the kit and a Technique Junkies technique called
"Shadow Tiles"That you can find in the Dec/Jan 2014
Technique Junkies Newsletter.

The sentiment is absolutely super cute for little
boys pages! The stencil used here is by Dutch Doobadoo.

And here is a card with also the use
of a stencil for the background and the
stamps from the kit.
The technique is called "Stenil Spray with
a Twist"  from the Technique Junkies
Newsletter from April/May 2014.

I also have a card in the Technique Junkies
Design Team Blog today and  you find it HERE.

Sunday Scrap page: May Flowers

So here I am,back with my Sunday ScrapPage.
Yes,sometimes life gets in the way and you just
don't have time to make one.

The theme May Flowers was easy, I had so many
flower pictures. Love to take close-ups of
nice blooming flowers in my garden.

But....as we were on vacation last week to Istanbul,
I used two pictures i made there for my page.

Papers and big sentiment stamp are
Club Scrap's Hydrangea papers and stamp.

The other stamps...the flowers and the honeycomb stencil
are by Michael Strong and is called
Hannah's Busy Bee setand you find it here.

Before adding anything I decorated the yellow paper
with the honeycomb stencil by using a blending tool
and Club Scrap's orchid hybrid ink pad.

Some flower stamps are stamped and colored
as decoration on the paper and others I have cut out
and added were I wanted them to be.

This time i did not print the text for my page,i thought
handwritten text looked more appropriate.
What do you think?

Have a creative day!

TJ Emboss Washi tape & CS NSD challenge 2

Today I am combine several issues:

1. participating in the NSD challenge at Club Scrap

2.my Saturday card for the Michael Strong group

3. my daily postings for the Technique Junkies group

So let's start with the Club Scrap challenge:
The teme trough all these challenges is my
woodgrain embossing folder and I liked the post
from Tricia, Kay and Karen sharing their ideas
about what to do with the foldere HERE.

So I started with technique 1. by Tricia
using dark paper and white ink
When the card was finished it turned out
that this card was also my Saturday card for
the Michael Strong group!
I used Club ScrapAspen papers
Michael Strong's Owl stampand a sentiment Joanne.

Also I did Kay's technique with the gelato's:
Here I used Club Scrap Aspen papers
and It's a hoot ruber stamps.
The owlis colored with pencil.

Now as for the Technique Junkies post,
I chose the Embossed Washi Tape technique from
the Oct/Nov 2013 newsletter
All stamps and papers are Club Scrap's
Aspen kit. Washi tape from stash.

Now I was having so much fun with my embossing
folder, that I came up with another technique with the gelatos.
Here is a little tutorial:
Color your embossing folder with gelatos
and spray a little water over it.
Add some paper and run it trough your machine.
And look how beautiful it is when you open
the embossing folder.
Quickly wash your embossing folder
to take the gelatos off.

And this is the finished card
with Club Scrap's Aspen papers
and It's a hoot stamps.

Thank you for looking.

Have a creative day!
