I hope you came over here from
Michael's Blog and seen his wonderful art.
This is what I have for you:
Little coffee gift tags and some lights for decoration.
I am sure I am going to make a bunch of these to put in front of
my window on Halloween. Inside the jar I have one
of these battery opperated lights.
Now how to make this:
I have a little glass jar, some modge podge
and a few strips of orange tissue paper.
Make sure the light fitsin the jar!
With a foam brush add the modge podge to the jar.
Then stick a strip of tissue paper on the jar.
I used the modge podge alsoon top of the paper.
Just add another strip until the jar is all covered.
Let it dry.
For the other jar I used the large leave stamp with
dark brown ink an stampedon the tissue paper,
then cut it into strips.
With the modge podge I glued the strips to another jar.
Out of black paper I cut the tree with a Tim Holtz
sizzix die and glued it to the jar with
modge podge. Now both jars are left to dry.
Now some stamping. I took a piece of vellum- so the light
can come through - and stamped and embossed them with black
embossing powder.
The left one goes on the orange jar, so will be colored by the light
and the right one on top of the tree.
The bird is a die by Michael Strong.
You find it here.
Little red gemstones were added on the cheek of the pumpkin.
The Halloween sentiment is by Tim Holtz.
And now for the coffee tags.
I made these with the Tim Holtz
coffee cup die. For the cup to be a card I used a strip of
paper 2,5 inch x 6,5 inch and fold it doubble.
Add the foldedpaper on top of the cup, just not all the way
so the papers willstay together. You can add a small piece
of white paper for the top of the mug.
And this you see when you have rolled the die through
the big shot machine.
You can also use a strip of decoraed
paper for the cup.
Here a close up of the tag.
The sentiment is a clear stamps from my stash.
Te band around the cup is stamped with the leave stamp
and colored with distres markers.
On top the pumpkin again, just very small.
I stamped it on shrink plastic and after heating it
with my heat gun it was the perfect size for the cup.
On the other tag I used the leave stampto decorate
the cup and also colored with distress markers.
Then adding some green color with a blending tool.
Inside the bags there are two packages of pumpkin latte.
Well this was quite a long post today.
Now lets move on with the hop.
