Mojo Monday 445: round version

Happy Saturday!
While I was making the square version of the
sketch, I already had an idea for the circle version!

You find all the details of this sketch challenge on

For my card I used:
circle and scalloped die by spellbinder
sizzix coffee bean embossing folder
coffee ring scrap paper by Moxxie
coffee cup rubber stamp by Michael Strong
and sentiment by Create with TLC

On the sentiment I added a tiny silver spoon with glossy accent.
It was a little carm, but i cut off the ring on top.

Thank you for looking.
Have a creative day!

Mojo Monday 445

Today I looked at the Mojo Monday sketch
of this week and right away had an idea.

I chose to make the square card, but who knows,
I might give the round one a try to soon.

For the card I used Club Scrap Dahlia papers
and stamps:
In the kit i found a pre embossed piece of paper
and cut a 5 x 5 inch square piece and sprayd
this with purple distress ink.The lines of the flower
resisited the ink. I also splatteredsome waterdrops.

Next I used the matching stamp. Embossed this with black ink
and colored the flower with neon pink ink. Then cut out
the flower with scissors.
The butterfly is cut out with a SU! die in black
and with a pencil I drew the outline on the orange
paper and cut it out and glued the two together.

The leaves are embossed in green and colored
with neon green like I did with the flower.

Card for any occasion,
so I leave the sentiment for later.

Thank you for looking.
Have a creative day!

Club Scrap Dahlia Blog Hop

Welcom to the
Dahlia Blog Hop.

I hope you arrived here from
Jennifer's Blog
and see what beautiful art she made.

If you happen to loose your way,
you can always go to the the main
Club Scrap Blog
and see all the participants.

I start here today with a scrap page that I made for
a scrap sketch  challenge on the
Sketch-n-scrap Blog.
Yes, all the flowers make fun pages for girls,
but I think this one is perfect for boys too!
Here is my page with all the elements that are found in
the Club Scrap April Dahlia kit:
the circles are cut outs and the sentiment strip too. I used the washi tape
that came with this kit and

the ribbed kraft circles with the hemp that came with it too.

The butterfly is cut out with a die and I made some
instructions on my blog last Monday.
See here for instructions.
On top of the butterfly  I used the circles
that also came with this kit.

Now a friend of mine asked me for some cards
and so I started to work and made it into a gift.
A bag with 4 cards and matching enveloppes.
First I share with you how I made the bag:
1. I used the 12x12 inch paper with the 2 borders.
I started by cutting of one of the borders.

2. I glued this border on the backside of the paper
where the other border was on the other side.

3.I used the score board and made lines at 3 and 9 inch
on the vertical side of the bag.

4. An horizontal at 3 an 5 inch (just under the border).

5. Now we strt the folding. We start with folding
the top border to the front.

6.Turn your paper over and fold the sides towards
the middle.

7.Tape this down with scotch tape.

8.Fold the bottom upwards on the line
you made before on the score board.

9. Open the bottom fold and push thou outside inward
to have the fold lines line up with the fold.

10.Fold top and bottom flaps towards the center
and tape themalso down with scotch tape.

11. Fold the edges of the bag to help to formthe
corner creases. Now you can open the bag and
form it into its shape.

Punch holes into the side of the bag and
into the tags.

Tie a ribbon through the holes to formthe handle.
The two tags are tied onto the handle. You can move
themapart to write inside.

Now you can add th cards inside.
These are the cards that are inside the box.

This card is made with a piece of the decorated
paper from the kit. Hardly anything else is needed.
I decorated it with a pice of ribbon, a paper
flower from my stasch and a cut appart
and button from the kit.

This sympathy card is stamped with the flower from
the unmounted rubber stamps. It is colored with
brown pencil and on top a little gold glitter
glue. The splatter is also stamped with one of the stamps
fro this kit.

Here I used the flower as a border to this lovely sentiment
fromthis Dahlia kit. The flowers and butterfly are
colored with pencil.

The last card started off with sprinkling
a little tangerine color burst on the white
panel. After spraying it with water and drying it
I stamped the flowers on top. Added a little
color with pencil to the flower
and some sequins for the bling of the card.

Ok, now just one more!
Thanks Club Scrap for always knowing
what we need! Today I need orange paper
for in The Netherlands it is Kingday
and here is a card with apicture my DD took
of us today: yes we wearing a lot of orange.
Background is the stamped flower in versamark and
embossed with clear embossing powder.
Then sprayed with orange distressink.
Also stamped with the splatter stamp in black.
It is a very cold day today with rain on and off,
but we are having fun!

I used the buttens and the cut apart flower circles
as embellishments on the card. The Sentiment is by

Club Scrap Artist Team Challenge: Flowers and Butterflies

Welcome to the Club Scrap Artists Blog hop.
I hope you came over here from
and seen her beautiful inspiration.
For allthe participant see the

So I sat down and started to think what to
do. I am from the easy techniques and
then I found this wonderful idea on the
Simon Says Stamp Blog. The
watercoloring stencil technique.
You find the instructions here.

As I have lotsof flowery stencils I start to
make some backgrounds for my cards:
This technique is super quick and easy and you have a lot
of backgrounds in a jiffy!
And with these backgrounds I made the follow 3 cards:
For this card I stamped the butterflies from
This month's Dahlia kit twice. Once on the card and
once on vellum.I cut out the vellum and glued it
on the card. This way it looks more like a
fluttering butterfly.
The sentiment on the card is from the
Club Scrap Trees kit.

Here a close up of the layers.

The 2nd card is made with a punched out butterflies
and a sentiment from the Dahlia kit.

I love using my scraps from older kits,so here
you see all the butterflies I cut out with a die
from Tim Holtz.

Then I folded them all in half and glued them
together. Starting with the blue one and then on each
side 2 green ones and ending up with a blue one.

The last blue ones are glued to the card and added
a premade antenna frommy stash.

For card number 3 I used a Club Scrap butterfly
stencil from the Papillon kit and so is the birthday
sentiment.

First I colored the butterfly with dark brown and then
I used a marker to draw the outline of the butterfly.
For the body I used a piece of left over paper from
cutting the card and made this paper bead out of it.
The bead is fasten with a piece of scrappers floss.
Finishing of the card with a few sequins from my stash.
Well, I hope I have given you some ideas to play,
if not, go and see what
Jennifer has come up with for youon her blog.

Thank you forlooking.

Have a creative day!
