This card is made with an Art Neko rubber stamp
called Koi Pond and can be found here.
I made the card for the Oriental Stamp Art group
where the technique of the month is Faux Stitching.
I stamped this with a kaleidacolor Desert Heat.
This is a multi color inkpad.
Next I used a ruler with holes (from Tim Holtz) and a
craft pick pen all around the image. With a black marker
I went from hole to hole to make the faux stitching.
Next i stamped the sentiment in black on the right top corner,
glued the panel to black paper and then onto the deep red card.
Thank you for looking
and have a creative day.
Hetty, your Koi card is sooooo pretty!! Love the way you used the kaleidacolor inkpad!!! It really captures the koi fish colors!!! Your faux stitching looks just like real stitching too! Great card! Thanks for sharing your creativity!!!

Stunning card! I love the stitch effect but the colours, image etc are superb! Bravo!
ReplyDeleteWhat a stunning card Hetty - love how you have used the Kaleidacolor ink, and made the faux stitching. The way you have mounted the o,mage panel really finishes the card in a dramatic way.

The Kaleidacolor pad was a great choice for those koi...and your faux stitching is so realistic looking.
ReplyDeleteThank you too for sharing the photos in another post of your husband's birthday outing, I enjoyed those. I admit I don't know much about Maastricht other than giving its name to one of the EU treaties! So it was lovely to see it as a real place.
WOW Hetty - lovely colours, beautiful stamp, and sewing! A piece of art...
