On we go with the colorchallenge on
The Daily Marker blog.
Here you see my finished card from day 5.
I found a great color page on internet and I rezized it
to card size and colored it with pencil. The I cut it out.
The back panel is kraft colored paper and I used 2 kinds
of stencils from Tim Holtz to make an interresting background.
The sentiment is also by tim holtz and the larger letters
are colored with white pencil.
Now on to my card for today:
Today I used Brentwood Owl, a digital download from
JessicaLynnOriginals and a sentiment by
I also want to enter this card for the
where the theme is: Go Green.
First I colored Brentwood with pencil
and after coloring I cut him out with
my large oval die. The sentiment was
already printed at the same time as the owl.
Now i made the gras under Brentwood's feet
with an old technique of moving the
post it paper everytime and coloring with
ink and a blending tool.
Next I worked on the background with a clover
stencil. First I used the lighter color.
When done, I turned the stencil and moved it a little
then used the darker green.
Here you see the finished back panel.
I thought I mussed something and as you can see I used
a dotted stencil with brown ink for the corners.
With a ribbon and some punched out clovers
I finished the card.
Have a GREEN day!
Thank you for looking
and have a creative day!

Hetty, your card is too cute! Thanks for showing us how you made the "grass" by sponging and how you made the cool shamrock background in 2 colors with your stencils! Love the looks you created! Also, your coloring of the owl is perfect and so is the way you arranged all the parts of your cute card!
Love how you colored the artist brushes, etc. Such pretty colors and love how you shaded the objects and also the kraft bg and how you used the 2 stencils!
Such a cool shamrock background you made for Brentwood! I don't make any cardrs for this occasion so I enjoy seeing them! Your art supplies card is gorgeous too!
