Birthday cards

For some birthday cards, I played with one of my favorite
Club Scrap Stamps: The tulip rubber stamp.
It is an oldie and not available anymore, but there are
tons of other wonderful stamps.
This is the stamp and for the first card I used two color:
red for the flowers and green for the leaves and the stem.
I used this sketch:

Happy is a die by SU! and birthday part of a Club Scrap stamp.

While I had this stamp out, I decided to make some more cards.

For the 2nd cards I stamped and embossed the tulips
with white  embossing powder on a white panel.
Next I added two colors of color burst
powder and sprayed it with water, so the color
spread all over the panel, but staued away from
the embossed tulips.

Some baker's twine and a wish stamped on a seperate
piece of paper. I cut up the wish and used foam tape
to add the wish to the card.

For the 3rd card I started also with embossing the tulips
with white embossing powder. Here  Icolored the background with distress
oxide colors and a blending tool. A much softer look.

Which one do you like best?

Sketch challenge #342 and Coffee

rubber stamp I enter my cards in
the sketch challenge from the

In this first card I followed the sketch exactly.
I love the new cup, which has two handles.
This way you can choose if you want it on the right
side or on the left.

The sentiment is by Graciellie Design
and the paisly background is also by Michael Strong.
I found it while clearing a pile of papers on my desk.
The dotted paper is a piece of scrap design paper.

Cup and paisley background are embossed
and the cups are colored with a white pencil and
decorated with a sticky pearl.

It is so much fun to try and use up the papers that are on
one's desk, so here another card. I found the gold
rosette ready cut (sizzix) as wel as the coffee ring
(yse, I had a gret pile and more will follow).
The sentiment are Tim Holtz stickers.

More coffee cards soon for there
will be another:

Limited Runs Progressive Challenge #31: Bears

Today it is Animal Day in The Netherlands.
So a great day to use an animal on my card
and as this month we were given this cute bear
I made these cards for today.
When I thought of what to do for a card, I had
so many ideas, that I ended up making 3 cards.

Card #1
When I looked at the bear-image, it looked like
he was dancing on his own, so I added some music
paper behind him and a Create with TLC sentiment.

I colored all the bears with my watercolor pastels.
I added some musical paper behind the bear and
a cute lace ribbon.
The sentiment is by Create with TLC.
If you click on the above image, you can see the bear dance!
I added an wobble behind the bear.

Card #2
It also looks like the bear can hold something.
How about a coffee cup?!
For this card I used:
Digital coffee paper I bought on Etsy
ribbon by DL.ART,
rubber stamp by Hero Arts
and the coffee rings are dies by Sizzix.
I just love that big cup in his hands.
I cut the hand to move the cup in
and added foam tape to make
it look like he drinks from the cup.

Card #3
As lots of babies are born in our family,
I came up with this cute baby card.
Bears are always cute on baby cards.

I had this cute baby image in my stash:
look at how the baby is also holding a tiny bear!
The sentyment is from an old SU! set.

Thank you for looking.
Be nice to your animals
and have a creative day!

Happy Rosh Hashanah 2

As we celebrate Rosh Hashanah for 2 days,
I made some more cards and today I share
my last 2 for this year.

This card is made with a direct to paper
mermaid distress oxide in and gold deco foil.
The golden circles are thinlits by Stampin'Up!
and sentiment by Zum Gali Gali Rubber Stamps.

The iside of the circles where
perfect to make apples inside the card.

Iadded some glossy accent on the apple
of the sentiment to make it stand out more.
For card #2 I also used a Zum Gali Gali
Rubber Stamp as a focal point.

First I made the direct to paper background and stamped
the stamp with the darkest of the blue ink.
The focal point is embossed with silver.

The cut off strips of paper were glued inside the card.

Shanah Tova
and may it be a creative year!
