Pinwheel card tutorial

1. What do you need?

2 pieces of cardstock 2 5/8 x 2 5/8 inch (or 7x7 cm)

4 pieces of cardstock 1 ¼ x 1 ¼ inch ( or 3 x 3 cm) color A

4 pieces of cardstock 1 ¼ x 1 ¼ inch ( or 3 x 3 cm) color B

a rubber stamp and ink of your choice

a big brad to add in the middle

2. Glue the two big pieces of cardstock like you see in the picture together.

Now take 4 pieces of the same color and stamp them with a pattern. I used Mike’s circle stamp.

You can also stamp the other color with the same stamp, with another stamp or leave it blank.

3. Use a little glue ONLY on the top of the square and glue this to the big squares. Change color all the time. Only for the last square you need to lift the first square and tug the square half way under it. You see what I mean when you get there.

4. To finish the wheel, you take a sharp item and a cushion to prick a whole in the middle.

Add a big brad to it and you pinwheel is ready to be mounted on your card.

Art Doll

Vandaag ben ik in een vrolijke bui: het is lekker weer en de zon schijnt, dan ziet alles er toch anders uit!aarschijnlijk zie ik het allemaal door een roze bril. Daarom deze twee kaarten: het zijn zg. Art Dolls. Je maakt ze van een combinatie van stempels, die samen een mens of dierfiguur vormen. Voor deze kaarten heb ik allemaal verschillende stempels gebruikt van Michael Strong en de letters zijn gestansd met de nieuwe mal van Tim Holtz (Vintage Market). Ook technieken van de Technieque Junkie heb ik hierin verwerkt, zoals een achtergrond van Faux Velvet en de vleugels met Antiqued Glimmers.

Today I am in a happy mood: the weather is nice and the sun is shining. I think I look at the world through pink glasses. So here are the happy cards: Art Doll cards. Take another look at your stamps and make them into human or animal figures. For these cards I used all kind of stamps from Michael Strong and some techniques by Technique Junkie: Faux Velved and Antiqued Glimmers. The letters are done with the new sizzix die from Tim Holtz (Vintage Market).

Techno Stamper sketch 119

Zo, vandaag heb ik me weer eens gestort op de Techno Stampers schets. Daar ik net de nieuwe medaillion stempel van Stampin'Up! heb, vond ik dat ik die hiervoor goed kon gebruiken. In het midden een handgemaakte bloem en de tekst stempel is van de set Whimsical Words ook van Stampin'Up!

Today I finally did a Techno Stamper sketch again. I just got the new medaillion stamp from Stampin'Up! and his one is just perfect to use. In the middle I added a handmade flower and the sentiment is from Wimsical Words also by Stampin'Up!

Mijn pop/ My doll

Op deze pagina zie hoe ik op mijn 1e verjaardag een pop heb gekregen. Op de pagina eronder zie

dat ik deze pop nog steeds heb. Er zitten wel wat minder haren op en helaas heb ik ooit een duim eraf geknipt. Nu heb ik haar weer mooi aangekleed met een gebreid vestje, een rok en nieuwe schoentjes.

Ik heb papier van Club Scrap gebruikt en stempels van Michael Strong.

Above you see the doll I got for my first birthday. Below you see that I still have this doll, only it has less hair and I cut her thumb at some point. But I have knitted her a new cardigan, made a skirt and got her some new shoes. The paper i used is by Club Scrap and the stamps are by Michael Strong.

Octagon & Paisley

Deze kaart is gemaakt met de Octagon en Paisley stempels van Michael Strong en het papier dat hierbij past van Club Scrap. Ik heb hiervoor zilveren embossingpoeder gebruikt en het geel is van Rangers Sea Shell serie en heet "conch shell" en past er precies bij. Onderaan heb ik een patroontje van de kaart getekend met de maten erbij.

This card is made with the Octagon and Paisley stamps by Michael Strong and the matching paper that is found at Club Scrap. I used some silver embossing powder and the yellow that matches the paper is from Rangers Sea Shell serie called "conch shell" and matches the paper exactly.Above you find a template of the card with all the measurements.

Hier is een lesje wat ik samen met Mike in mijn huiskamer heb gemaakt. Niet perfect en in twee delen. Je moet het geluid wel hard aan zetten hoor! Veel kijk plezier, wij hadden veel lol met het maken ervan!

2e Paasdag/ Easter Monday

Met dezelfde stempels als gisteren, maar net even anders, hier nog een kaartje voor 2e Paasdag. Gelukkig is het buiten wat beter en hoop ik dat iedereen er weer een gezellige dag van maakt!

This fun card is made with a digital Easter Bunny by FireCracker Design by Pamela (go see her freebies!) , Michael Strongs mini egg and pocket by Stampin Up! (pockets full of fun). Sentiment done with the combuter. All papers are Club Scrap.

Here is a close-up of the flower. I found a tutorial on the blog of Gabrielle Pollacco, where she explains exactly how to make this flower. She also show some great use on scrap pages of the flower.

Geinspireerd door/ Inspired by Michelle Zindorf

Deze kaartjes heb ik gemaakt toen ik het nieuwste lesje op het blog van Michelle Zindorf zag.

Je kunt ze met allerlei stempels doen. Voor de linkse kaart heb ik papier en stempels van Club Scrap gebruikt en de vaas van Michael Strong. Op de rechter kaart zie je een digitale bloemenstempel van FireCracker Designs by Pamela (afgedrukt op aquarel papier en dat gaat prima!), ook de vaas van Michael Strong en op de achtergrond Faux Velvet een techniek die ik heb bedacht voor de Technique Junkies en die je kunt vinden in de laatste nieuwsbrief van April/ Mei 2010.
