Coffee Loving Cardmakers Blog Hop - Club Scrap Sentiment of the Day

Here another card today for the 

Coffee Loving Cardmakers Blog Hop.

Since over a month ago I am making one card a day

with one of the Club Scrap stamps that I think is 

appropriate for these stay at home days. This is card #39.

You can see them all on instagram (@4hetty).

So when at home I guess a lot of coffee is being consumed!

For my card I used a stencil that came with the Brewed Awakenings

kit in 2012 (yes, I am a long time member and love to use the oldies).

With 3 colors of distress oxide inks I colored the background

of the card. The cup and the coffee ring are from an even older kit:

 Mocha Java 2002. I embossed the coffee cup with a scented 

emossing powder (creamy coffee). The sentiment is embossed with 

copper embossing powder.

How about the cute little spoon, did you notice that?!

The spoon was stamped on shrinky dinky and before

shrinking it, I added the hole at the top.

I guess this week there will be more coffee choises

for the coffee hop. Don't forget to take a look THERE,

for there are a lot of prizes to win!

Welcome to day 2 of the 

Coffee Loving Cardmakers Blog Hop.

Today i share with you an image by

Bugaboo Digital Stamps for their

Weekly Saturday Challenge on the

Catch the Bug Challenge Blog.

This week it is a color challenge with this picture.

Here is my card featering:

JJ Coffee to Go.

The image is colored with Stampin'Blends.

For the background I used these colors of Colorburst.

I added some drops of powder on the card

and sprayed some water on top.

Next I took another piece of card and pressed

it on top and this is the result.

Coffee Loving Cardmakers Blog Hop - Day 1

I hope you do, for a week long we are in for a lot of

coffee projects for the coffee blog hop on the

Coffee Loving Cardmakers Blog.

You have to go there and read about it, for there are many

prizes to win by commenting and sharing your own artwork.

Here is my easel card for the first day:

I used some digital stamps from Graciellie Design 

and the paper and the sentiment are by Echo Park.

It is from their 6x6 inch  coffee design papers.

I colored the images with distress oxides and 

a blending tool. Then I cut the cup and the 

wooden heart out with scissors.

Here you see the easel card standing up against the sentiment

that is fastened on the inside of the card.

You see a doily behind the cup, that is a metal die from

my stash and the coffee bean ribbon is also from my stash.

Tuesday morning Sketch #555

Today I have some coffee news!!

Yes, there will be another coffee blog hop

organized by the wonderful Amy Tsuruta on the

Coffee Loving Cardmakers Blog.

So as today is Tuesday and I design for the 

Tuesday Morning Sketches,

I wanted you to get in the mood for coffee.

I always am, you know that by now ;-)

Here is sketch #555 and you find all the other

For my card, I turned the sketch upside down

for I wanted to use this cute coffee cups die.

I layered 3 colors of cups on top oc each other,

behind the cute cat from Newton's Nook Design

stamp set called Newton Loves Coffee.

Bugaboo Digital Stamps: Humour me Wednesday & Sketch

Good Morning!

Hope I can give you a smile today.

Here my card with Bugaboo Digital stamp

for the Catch the bug Challenge Blog.

For this card I used Nurse Margaret kiss butt

for yesterday it was International Nurse Day.

But I think these days it is always nurse day.

Thank you for all they do!

I colored the image with Stampin'Blends

and used a digital design paper for the background.

The flowers are fastned with brads and the red cross

is punched out of some left over design paper

 and glued to the brad.

Not only is my card for the Catch the Bug challenge blog,

but I used also the Saturday Sketch #609

Happy Mother´s Day!

These are strange times and visiting my Mother

in the care home for Mother´s Day is still a no go.

So my brother and i went on Friday to bring my Mom

a card and flowers. We had to stay behind the glass

 and she was inside (hard for her to understand).

So here my card, for I do hope we soon can have a cup of

tea together and not behind glass!

I also made this card with some of the left overs from

papers I made with my gelli plate for the challenge on the

Club Scrap Chat on Facebook.

Here my cut out for the card.

I started making the background with the teabag stamp

from Club Scrap special kit Infusion (2014) and 

white embossing powder for a resist technique.

Coloring the paper with walnut stain distress oxide ink.

Here the finished background pannel.

The white teabags came out beautiful.

So this is my sentiment of the day

in good hope that we soon can do this again.

Tuesday Morning Sketch #553

Good Morning Stamping Friends,

I have been asked as a Design Member of the

Tuesday Morning Sketches Blog.

So today I share with you the first sketch.

For my card I used some design paper,

the new release image by Bugaboo from last week

Catch the Bug Challenge Blog

and a sentiment by Create with TLC.

The circles in the backgroud are die cutted with

some circle dies from my stash.

I also used the cute Boo Teddy Bear image

for the inside of the card. It is colored with

stampin'blends by Stampin'Up!

Dutch commemoration of the War

In the Netherlands we commemorate the victims of the War.

At 20.00 we are silent for 2 minutes all over the country.

This year that is a strange commemorations, for we all

are at home watching tv and standing outside at 20.00 o'clock.

It is 75 years ago and special memorials were planned,

but they are all cancelled or without public.

For today I found a very special sentiment by Club Scrap

from the kit Steppin'Out 11/04.

Not only we miss those who did not come back from

the war, but today we also miss those we cannot go to.

All materials are Club Scrap.

For my card I used the Dutch colors of acryl paint,

a 4x6 inch gelli plate and various Club Scrap stencils.

When playing with the gelli plate you end up with

quite a few wonderful papers to play with.

So here is another card and I made the globe with

a stencil belonging to Club Scrap Bookshelves 03/13.
