Tim Holtz November tag: Pumpkin

I just love that new chalky technique
Tim Holtz is showing in his November tag.
Unfortunately i do not have the new embossing powder
and also not the framelits, so in style of
Tim's tag, I made my own variation:
I choose to use the pumpkin stamp
of the Halloween blueprint 2 set.

I stamped it collage style with white
ink on the background and for the
front pumpkin, I stamped it 2 times
on another piece of black paper and
embossed it in white.

I did want to give the pumpkin a touch
of orange and I used my karisma pensils
to color the pumpkin.

For the text I used the simple sentiment stamps.

Having been in the US in October,
there were pumpkins everywhere.
In front of houses and restaurants.
And for the first time I tasted PSL (pumpkin spiced latte)
and I loved it. Wish I had taken some home!
Also I had to have a pumpkin picture with me in it.
And pumpkin soup, I made it too and it is yummy
(just forgot to take a picture....next time I will).

Have a wonderful creative pumpkin day!

Club Scrap Retreat project 3: Safari scrapbook

Today sharing with you this wonderful Safari scrapbook paper
we received as a gift on the Club Scrap Retreat.
and if you happen to like it too, you can find it here:

On the first evening, we were asked to dress up in animal
prints for dinner. It was so much fun to look at each other!
Everyone made an effort to look good.

While at dinner and after a welcome by Tricia, we were shown
a very great and creative video and it ended in
allof us receiving a bag ful of this wonderful
Safari papers.
The staff came around with a pile of bags and giving
everyone their own stack of papers.
We all were thrilled and could see already
see our pictures of this evening on this paper.
So after dinner we really needed to make eve more
pictures of all of us together.
So here are my pages of this evening
of the Club Scrap Retreat all finished.

I am happy toown some Serengeti stamps
that go perfect with this kit.
Feel free to clcik on the pages
to see a larger version of it.
I added some of the retreat memorablia on my pages.
I have cut up the menu for decorating these pages.

Also I added some of the ATC's I received in the swap
we had before going to dinner.A way to get to know
some more people.

Now I did not use up all the papers for retreat pages,
because I want to keep some to use for some future
scrapbooking of my grandson, when I have taken him
to the zoo when he is a little older.

Here you see all the other pages, that I could make
with the paper we have received.
The ALSB (assembly line) scrapbooking that Club Scrap
has introduced. A way to use your package of
paper to the fullest. I love to scrap this way.
For more information about ALSB,take a look here:
To see more projets you might want to pay

Sunday Scrap Page: Sinterklaas

This weeks page for the
Weekly Chronicles was supposed to be
with a "blue" theme, but it turned out red
was the color this time!

In The Netherlands the children have welcomed
Sinterklaas and his "Zwarte Pieten",a very important
occasion in the life of young children.

If you have no clue as to what Sinterklaas is,please read about it HERE.

This page is made with Club Scrap Tahiti papers
and Michael Strong stamps.
The text of the page is
printed with the computer.
On this page I used several Tim Holtz dies:
the roset, ribbon flags and a strip alphabet die.

As for the Michael Strong stamps

This is cut with scissors and is what we call
a "mijter", it is what Sinterklaas wears on his head.

In the comming weeks you will learn more
about this childrens festivities: the food and the fun.
It lasts until Dec 5 when Sinterklaas
goes back to Spain in his boat and with his helpers.

Have a creative day!

Family & Hanukkah

This card is for the November challenge

The theme is family and/or friends
with a Michael Strong stamped image.

As November is not only Thanksgiving
it is also Hanukkah,
so my card is The Family at Hanukkah.
The candle holder is made out of the
Mosaic Frame stamp,
that you can find HERE.

I stamped the frame with versamark and embossed it with blue
embossing powder. And colored with broken china disstress ink.
The rosette is made with a Tim Holtz sizzex die.
On top the flower is in the heart of the mosaic frame.

Hanukkah starts this year on November 27 with
lighting the first candle and every day we light one more.
Have a creative day!

Club Scrap Retreat project 3: Altered Composition Book

The first project that we made
at the Club Scrap Retreat
was an altered composition book.
Some of the materials we used you can find here
in the Clup Scrap shop.

The class was taught by Karen Wyngaard.
She took us through all
the right motions to get the book finished.
We used some lovely collage paper
and the envelop punch tomake
the tabs for the book.
Don't forget to click on the pictures, to see
a larger version of it.
When home, I just had to decorate my book
and you will not be surprised seeing my
coffee stamps on this altered book.
All stamps i have used and the stencil are from
various Club Scrap coffee kits.
(sorry not available any more).

The coffee stencil is wonderful to use
in combination with the stamps.
This stencilis from "What's Brewing?"
Here you have a good view
on the tabs that devide different parts
of the book.

The back inside has a pocked that
can held some of the papers you
want to hang on to before glueing
them down somewhere.

And here the back of the book.
Thanks again Karen, for this wonderful project!

Cheers!
Have a creative day!

SOCK MONKEY

When I noticed this free sentiment on the
I just could not resist making this card.

I brought this sock monkey in the US last
year when i was there for the Club Scrap Retreat.

This card is 5,5" x 5,5" with a piece of gold
doted paper in the background, some washi
paper and a ribbon on the photo. Simple,
but effective.
Have a creative day!
