Hanukkah Gift card

This gift card idea is absolute super easy.

I found it on the blog of Meg Loven

You find all the instructions on how to make

this gift card on her blog.

I started with folding this turquoise cardstock

at 3 and 6 1/2 inch. Then I took out a matching

roll of washi tape and decorated the front.

The folded card is helt together by a kind of 

belt. I used a colored strip of paper. The  chanukia

(candele holder) is a vintage stamp from Stampin'Up!.

After coloring with pencil I added  tiny yellow

 sticky gemstones being the flames of the candle.

The circle and scalloped circle is a set of spellbinders.

Inside the folded card is a normal size envelope.

Folded in half and glued to the inside.

I made a tag on one side for a message

and in the other side of the envelope you 

can insert the money.

The candles on the inside are by  Posh Impressions.

to use for my projects.

Sharing with you today I have a 

scrap page, a light project and a 

Hanukkah card with a technique tip!

Ijust had to have the Homemade Holiday paper

and unmounted stamps. I have been having so muh fun

with my grandson in the kitchen, so this paper is

just perfect to use for my weekly scrap pages.

I am abig fan of the keepcalm sentiments

and so this one was perfect and so true.

Cooking and baking is a wonderfulway

of keeping the kids busy and calm.

I used the gingerbread man stamp on

shrink plastic. Colored with pencil and made a hole

before shrinking to add as an embellishemnt to the picture.

And this is just the cutest project to do. On the

Lakes blog hop I had an easellight card and while i was

searching for some more ideas I came acros this wonderful

idea at Splitcoaststampers, where you can find

 the complete tutorial and download the template.

Here is the video tutoral, so you don't have to search.

I used a sheetof Homemade Holidays paper

to print the template on the backside and 

used stamps from Gnome for the Holidays

to decorate this paper lantern.

Again I stamped some of the cookie images on

shrinkplastic and used them for embellishemnts.

(don't forget topunch the hole before you heat it!

The roof is not fastned so you can easily add

the battery-powered tea light inside.

As today is also the first day of Hanukkah

(this Jewish Holiday lasts for 8 days),

I have made a card with the Homemade

 Holiday Collection paper in combination with 

the Hanukkah stamps from 2006.

Yes, time for a new set....hopefully next year.

Here is the finished Hanukkah card

with a wonderful easy background technique

that makes the background sparkle.

For this you need the cheapest bleach,

a plastic container,

kitchen towel

goldden glimmer mist

and your rubber stamps.

Fod the kitchen towel in a way that you have 4layers

and put this in the plastic container. This is going to

be your stamp pad. Pour some bleach on it

and add glimmermist spray for the sparkle.

Use your stamp on this stamp pad for

stamping on dark paper for the best result.

Sometimes you have to try a few pieces.

You do not see the effect right away. it needs

alittle time for the best effect and to be dry!

After using your stamp, clean it by holding

it under the tap with running water a minute

and dry it off. I have used bleach more often

for stamping and it hasn't affected my stampsat all.

Sunday Scrap Page: Snowmen

Owen is totally in love with Olaf, the little

snowman in the Disney movie Frozen

 

I noticed Michael Strong's snowman looks very 

much alike,but I have this stamp already for years!!

Here you see the Cloisonné snowman bauble stamped in versamark

on dark blue paper and embossed with white embossing powder.

This is the Snow Pal, stamped on vanilla colored paper

and embossed with black embossing powder. Colored with 

pencils and cut out.Then with foam tape on the scrap page.

For is the journaling part. I like to print my

text with the computer and decorate with stamps.

All papers of this page are by Club Scrap and they 

are out of the Dungarees kit.

Cristmas inspiration day 12: tag

Today I have a multi functional tag for you.

I have this wonderful punch by Stampin Up!

called scalloped tag topper.

I bought it only recently but I have seen 

so many wonderful ideas with it, I wanted it!!

So here is my Christmas idea:

I used Club Scrap Dungerees papers.

I started with cutting a piece of kraft colored paper

6 x 2 inch.

Then I punched the tag on both sides

and folded the tag in half.

For stamping I used the  unmounted stamps

from Club Scrap called Gnome for the Holidays.

I took the leave stamp and eart stamp ink

to cover the tag completely

and only colored the berries in red with pencil.

Next I stamped the predent on red paper with

the same eart ink pad. Cutting  out  the present

and covering the bow with glitter glue.

Add the present with foam tape to the tag

and stamp the to/from on a white piece of

paper,so you can write the name of the  receiver.

Inside you can add: a cane, choclate or even money.

You can have it dangling in your tree, because it is

decorated on both sides, or have it hanging from

your present.

New stamps at Club Scrap: Homemade Holiday

Just have to make a card with a fun background technique,

but not sharing yet what I did! Keeping that for the Blog Hop 

we have on December 17. Lots of Christmas inspiration for you.

Christmas inspiration day 10: Antiqued Wallpaper

For today's card I have used an embossing folder

to make the background of this card.

The technique for this is one of the Technique Junkies and

is called Antiqued Wallpaper. It is one of

my top 10 favourite techniques and I have made 

a tutorial of this technique in a previous blog post.

The snowman stamp is from Club Scrap 2006, so very vintage!

All papers and stamps are scraps from different Club Scrap

kits. It seems my box just doesn't get empty!!

Christmas inspiration day 9: Pinwheel

I found this fun pinwheel christmas card idea on

Pinterest.I wanted to make a card to fit the dog

( which is a present for a friend).

I love the easy ideas you find to use up all the scraps

I have and just don'twant to trow away.

Start the pinweel with 2 squares of 2 5/8 x 2 5/8 inch

glueing on top of each other.

Cut 8 squares  of 1 1/4 x 1 1/4 inch in two

setsof 4 papers. Start with glueing the first square

only with a little drop of glue,for you need to be able

to lift half the square to add the last one in.

Move around by glueing the next squares overlapping

 the one before.

And the next one.....

until you have all 8 glued together.
