Hello!
Here you have arrived from Marya's blog
folowing our Club Scrap Gnome Blog Hop.
If you get lost, please go to the
where you find the list of all
the participants.
I ordered the Gnome stamps and stencil
(you can find it here) and it arrived just
in time for me to come up with a project
to share with you.
I made you pyramid Christmas tree gift box
that is aprox.8 inch high.
The paper is from the Club Scrap Wings kit
and the topper is the mini star stamp
by Michael Strong.
So I started by stamping the presents and the gnome
with black ink on a white bacground and
started coloring allof it with my Tim Holtz distress markers.
Ten I added a white dots and strips with the
white distress marker. On top of the bows I added a lttle
glossy accent and glitters.
Then I got the idea of adding little jingle bells to the
parcels to give it a real Christmas look and feel.
For the gift box you need a 12x12 inch piece of green cardstock.
If you click on the picture you see the enlarge template way better.
It is very easy to draw. You start with the middle lines at 6"
horizontally and vertically. From the middle you draw a dot
2"on all for lines and connect them. This way you have the bottom
ofthe tree. Look at the template for drawing the other lines.
For decorating the tree I used an old wooden leave stamp
from the Evergreen kit and two colors of green Club Scrap ink.
As for the topper of the tree I stamped the mini star
stamp from Michael Strong
tree times with versamark and embossed it with gold
embossing powder. I folded them all vertically in half
and glued them together with a
toothpick and when finished I added a few
red gemstones on it too.
Oh btw you want to know what is the
gift that is inside the box!
Seeing it nicely wrapped in green, you have no idea,
but it is made with the gnome stamp.
I stamped the gnome on shrink plastic with archival
black ink, colored them with distress markers
and used my heat gun to shrink them. Don't forget
to make a hole in the hat before shrinking.
Wrapping the eraings in matching green satin
paper and hide it inside the tree.
I have used some velcro to close the flaps
and left a little red ribbon where to open
(do this with care).
At least I have a fun new profile picture for facebook!
You see the tree is decorated with the tape from
the Fire & Ice kit and the gemstones are from my stash.
