Club Scrap February Artist Challenge

Here is the Club Scrap Artist Team again.
This time we have some stamping fun for you
with a wonderful stampset called:

We have created a blog hop to give you ideas as what to
do with these stamps. So I hope you have seen
with her wonderful projects for you.
Here you see all the stamps of the UM Weathered Florals
and I came up with a scrapbook page and a card for you.
and a creative idea to use your scraps! Don'tyou have
a box fulof left over papers from different kits?
Well I used them to make this scrap page:
You want to know how?
Welli started with picking up a few papers and lay them on the table.
Puzzeled them together to make a 12x12 inch scrap page.
Then took some washi tape to tape all the pieces together.

As you never have exactly a 12 x 12 inch page
there was a little cutting needed.
Now to make it all come together I first used
some gesso all over the page. Not to heavy, just a light touch.

When the gesso was dry, I used shabby shutter distress in
on top of it.Let it dry (this dries very quick!).

Next I took some stencils out and chrushed olive distress spray
and used this stencilin several spots.
and another stencilwith vintage photo distress spray..
Take the heat gun and dry.

And now some stamping with the largest stamp and
black ink on top of everything I stamped a few times.

Here is the result.
Now to find some pictures and decorate the page.
(The woodsie word is from the Crewel & Unusual kit).

For this I had made a few little cards with stamps and stencils,
just like I did with the scrap page.

SoI played around with the photo'sand cards until
I was satisfied with the lay out.
The banners on the page are also the scaps that I had
cut of to make the 12 x 12 inch page. So today: no scraps left!

And here is my card:

I used a piece of left over Crewel & Unusual paper
in combination with the Weathered Flower stamps.

I cut the front of the card in an angle like this.

Then from some green left over paper I cut a few leaves.

Glued the leaves right up to the topof the slanted
line of the front of the card.

Next  I stamped the large flower in the gelato technique:
wet your stamp a little with water and color your
stamp with gelatos and stamp. It gives the image
a wonderful shimmer.

Here a close up of the flower border. For this birthday
card I added a few blingy gemstones in the heart of the flower.

Well, this is what I have for you,but thereis more.
For this you have to hop on to
and see what wonderful things she has for you.

What a great page Hetty - love how you have created it. Your card is stunning - love it!! The diagonal cut is so eye catching, and the big bold flower is beautiful.

Wow Hetty! Your scrapbook page from scrap is awesome! What a fun way to use up all those left over bits. (and yes, I can't throw anything away so I have a big bin full of left overs!)

Your watercolor card is lovely. The color you used for the flower is so pretty on the card.
