Wishing all my friends a very
Happy and Blessed Easter!
My card today was inspired by the
Color Challenge on the
is perfect for Easter cards.
Want to know how I made this faux
chocolate bunny?
I think I seen this last year (or the year before on
the blog of Tim Holtz). Cut out a bunny with a
die from cardboard. Then take a piece of alu foil
and a bottle of raspberry alcohol ink. Use a blender tool to
add the ink to the foil.
Cut the foil with a seam around the bunny
ald fold it over.
And here you see part of the finished card.
All papers are Club Scrap Paris Fleamarket.
The sentiment is by Stampin Up!
The cup and the egg stamp are by
Michael Strong,both embossed in silver.
The ribbon and the paper lace are also by Club Scrap.
Nothing is thrown away, the other part of the
egg decorates the inside of the card.
Thanks for looking.
Have a creative day!
Oh my gosh, I love how you made your pink foil bunny!!! I thought it was a chocolate foil bunny! Sweet card. Love how you used Mike's coffee cup and the egg!!!
ReplyDeleteThat is a clever idea to put a cardboard die inside of colored foil and make a card from it! It looks like a perfect piece of chocolate! Thanks for joining us at MHK Designs~
ReplyDeleteReally cute! I pinned your foil-covered bunny last year, and now I'm pinning this year's new one. :)
ReplyDeleteAwwww...this is soooooo cute!
ReplyDeleteAdorable card!
ReplyDeleteLOVE the idea of adding foil to a shape AND coming out of an egg from a coffee cup, I just LOVE your imagination. A SUPER card.
ReplyDeleteDid you know (something I learned yesterday) that as hare's were only seen around Easter and their leverets were born with eyes open and fur, it was thought they came out of eggs. That is why Rabbits and eggs are in the Easter celebrations. Medieval thinking? I thought it interesting.
Love the foil wrapped bunny in your coffee cup! Just adorable!
ReplyDeleteSuper cute Hetty - and thanks for showing us how you made the bunny.
ReplyDeleteBlessings
