Club Scrap Artist Team October technique challenge: embossing folder

Here is my contribution to the

Club Scrap October Technique Challenge.

The challange is to work with an embossing folder.

Pam has a lot of variations on the Club Scrap Blog

and be sure to visit all her wonderful samples.

I will show you today, that you can also use 

clear acetate with an embossing folder.

Usually I keep wrappings from my craft materials

and use these for projects. I cut one of the pieces to the size

of an embossing folder. I used a script folder, to go with the

new October Literature kit. As my box has not yet arrived 

I make good use of the digital kit.

This is how it looks after I ran it through my 

embossing machine.

Now take some white acrylic paint and color

the acetate sheet on the backside.

With some paper towel (still on the roll for easy

working) and take away the extra paint on the non

embossed parts of the acetate.

You will see the lettering is more bold than before.

I fastened the acetate with brads to the printed red

background paper. The sentiment is printed on

kraft paper and matted on white.

This girl is a stamp from 2011 A Girl's night Out.

Stamped on shrink foil and colored with markers.

You can also use colored acrylic paint

on the backside. lots of fun experimenting!

I used it to make this carf for the

October sketch challenge on the Club Scrap

forum online.

This time i fastened the acetate with glossy accent

to the printed background paper. It is best to have

it drie first underneath something heave, so it stays straight

before you finish your card.
