Even though it is bitterly cold here in The Netherlands
this weekend, I know Spring is around the corner and
crafting and thinking about it keeps me warm.
I made this tag for the Monday Challenge
on the Simon Says Stamp blog
where the challenge is Spring/ Easter inspiration.
The background is a tag don in the direct to paper technique
with a variety of green and fosselized amber oxide
distress inks. The bird is a big die cut by Tim Holtz
and the flower is made out of a coffee filter.
I sprayed the filter with fosselized amber distress spray
and cut the flowers with a punch. Inside I added a stem and
glued all the layers together. The stem end went through
the tag and taped to the back of the tag.
The background rays ar made with a stamp
and fosselized oxide ink.
Yhe birds nest is another stamp. First I stamped it
on the tag and next on a piece of white paper.
Then colored the nest with a brown distress marker
and cut out the nest and added it with foam tape to the tag.
The words are from Tm Holtz ideology small talk stickers.
Thank you for looking
and have a creative day!
Such a cute tag. Love all the elements.
ReplyDeleteIt's still cold in southern Ontario (Canada). It's going to be a high of +1 C all week. At least there is no snow in the forecast for the week.
Hetty, your tag is so pretty! Love the spring theme, with the sweet birdie on the branch and the cool flowers you made from coffee filters! How cool is that! The direct to paper background and the rays stenciling are perfect! Thanks for sharing these great ideas for spring! Hope it warms up there for you!
ReplyDeleteYour tag is beautiful and I love the colors! Thanks for joining us on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge.
