Mojo Monday 508

My card today was inspired by the Mojo Monday
sketch you see below.
It is not exactly, but I guess you can see the inspiration!

I started with a piece of black cardstock and
embossed it with the candy hearts embossing folder.
Then i added some gold and copper gilding wax.

This is the beautiful result.

This stamp is by Honey Bee Stamps
from the set Coffee Break.
I stamped it twice: one time on red paper
and one time on pink paper. The inside of the
cup is colored with markers.

For the inside of the card I used
Altenew stamps. They are from the set
Coffee Talk.

Thank you for looking
and have a creative day!

Simon Says: Love is in the Air.

In honor of the Chinese New Year
that starts on Feburay 5th
and will be the
year of the pig, I made some
pig Valentine cards:
I did not make them by myself,
I had some help!
We want to enter our cards for the
Love is in the Air challenge on the

We started with downloading this cute pig image HERE
and after printing we colored the pigs with pencil and markers.
This card is made by my grandson.
He embossed the background and added some ink
and stamped the sentiment. I cut the pigs for
him and after he punched out some
circles I added them with a stapler to the card.

As there where some pigs left, we also
added some inside.

Here is one of my cards.
For the background I used two different
Tim Holtz stencils and the mini heart stamp
by Michael Strong and oxide distess inks.
The pig is colored with markers.

The sentiment is a freebie for you.
I made it up in Photoshop. Grab it by
clicking with your right mouse button
and save it to your computer.

For my 2nd card I started with the direct to
paper technique with oxide worn lipstick ink.
Next i stamped the xoxox Club Scrap stamp
and the sentiment ( Heart to Heart 2009).
After coloring and cutting out the pig,
I also stamped the mini hearts on a seperate
piece of paper and cut them out. Both are added
with foamtape.

Thank you so much for looking
and have a creative day!

Vintage Printables

I am having fun with my new digital images from
Create with TLC. I bought all these images
from Paulette's Etsy Shop HERE.

My grandson loves lions and other wild animals
and once i had these images, I suddenly had all
these ideas for cards.

The cards are all made with photoshop
and printed on my computer to make them into
real cards. Please take a look here:

All te sentiments are by Create with TLC too.
You might find some freebies on her BLOG.

Do click on the pictures to have a more close-up view
of all the cards.

The ribbons are from my photoshop stash.

Here you see the complete images that you
get in the animal set.

The flowers were a freebie and the giraffes came as a gift
after I bought the animals.

Hope I given you some inspiration.

Thanks for looking
and have a creative day!

Simon Says: Have a Heart

Have you downloaded Michael Strong's piggy
for the Chinese New Year here
I try to come up with more ideas than just for the New Year.
How about a Valentine's piggy?
I got the idea foir this card when I noticed this weeks
Have a Heart.

For my card I used the following:
Michael Strong pig freebie
heart embossing folder
Michael Strong heart rubber stamp
pink ink
card stock

The background is embossed with sweet hearts
with a touch of pink ink.
The heart is stamped with neon pink and colored
with a softer pink marker.
The pigs are printed and colored with a marker.

The sentiment I made up with the computer,
for I had no stamps fitting this card.
As I made it up myself, I share it as a freebie
for you. Feel free to grab the sentiment.

I also decorated the inside of the card with a piece
of left over pink paper from the front panel and
the smaller heart stamp.

Thanks for looking
and have a creative day!

Simon Says: Alcohol, Drinks or Inks

Inspired by the challenge on the
I made two cards today

The challenge says:
Alcohol, Drinks or ink.

For my first card I used digital images from
She has some beautiful papers and designs
that are perfect to save on postage (even though
one day i would love some of her real stamps!)

I used the digital design paper for the background,
but the cup is colored with markers.
The front design of the heart image
is cut out of a piece of left over design paper
and layerd with foam tape to the other
punched out pieces.

My second card is real stamps.
For the background I  used a stencil and some
gesso and colored it with distress ink.
The drinks are stamps by Tim Holtz
as well as the sentiment.

The drinks are colored with distress markers.
The flowers are premade from my stash.

Here a close up of the wonderful background.

Thank you for looking and
have a creative day!

Cupcake Inspiration Challenge: Pink & White

Great find, these Club ScrapValentine stamps from 2009
(Heart to Heart) in my stash and combining it with
a Love Cynthia stamp is a perfect combination.

I made this card for the pink & white color challenge

I started out gathering various shades of pink
stamp inkpads to make the background.
The "be mine heart stamp"is stamped on a seperate
piee of paper as well as the little girl stamp.
The heart is stamped in pink and colored the
heart with a blending tool, leaving the words white
to stamd out.

The girl is colored with blending markers by SU!
and cut out. Added to the card with  foam tape.
This is the inside of the card.
Club Scrap sentiment and more hearts.

Of course a matching envelope
and some sticky pink pearls for extra bling.

Thank you for looking
and have a creative day!

Club Scrap Calendar Project

Yes, I am still trying to organize my craftroom!
While doing so, you find all kind of fun  projects
you never made or finished.

I came across this project from 2013. It is a calendar
and I just never made it. Now I want to make it.
January is the perfect month to make a calendar.
I lost the instructions, so I wrote to Club Scrap
if they still had it and yes, they found me the instructions.

So this project comes with a big wooden block,
that I painted black and decorated with a
Mocha Java panel from my coffee paper stash.
I also got out my Club Scrap coffee stamps
(you are not surprised, I guess :-)) and decorated
parts of the project.

Front and back of some of the parts.
The tag is the front of the calendar.
It also came with 12 tags and these are decorated with
Mocha Java (2007) and Brewed Awakanings (2012) stamps.
So here is the finished project seen from the front.

Sideways you see how the parts
are constructed on the wood block.

And also the back of everything is decorated.

Each month is taken out of the
back and placed on the front book clip
according to what month it is.

Julie Heyer of Club Scrap has her version
on the Club Scrap Blog HERE
and when you pop over,
you see it is totally different from mine.

Thanks for looking
and have a creative day!
