Cards for the Jewish New Year

This year I have started quite early making my cards for
Rosh Hashana - the Jewish New Year. It starts on the eve
of September 29. ut than again, I am ready to send them out!

It happened, because I found this great stampset in the new
Stampin'Up! catalogue, called Slice of Happines.
You might say: isn't the apple always a symbol on Jewish New Year cards?
Yes, it is, but so is the pomegranate. This fruit is used on the 2nd evening
to say the special blessing for something new.

I also found this wonderful stencil on FunkyFossil Designs.
It worked perfect for the backgrounds I created.
The background is made with the direct to paper method
and after dried I used the stars of the stencil on it.
The sentiment is from an old SU! set called Mazel Tov.

Here you also see the scrols in the background and
those come from an other set called L'Chayim.

I hope you get some inspiration for your own cards.

Thanks for looking
and have a creative day!
