and with Valentine around the corner, I needed
a candy box.
You can see all the wonderful work of the
designteam of the bugaboo Digital Stamps om

To make this box I used a die called gable box by
You cut the box in one go, and fold it on the lines.
Glue the side strip and the bottom and the box is ready.

I decorated the box when ready, because all the images
are stuck to the box with foam tape.

This cute Valentine Critter Kitty came as a freebie
for newsletter subscribers, but you can also get it  HERE.
My kitty is colored with Stampin´Blends by SU!

The little hearts are cut with matching sizzix dies.
Straight and scallop dies. In the middle of the heart I used
a paw paper punch and becacuse the background is
contrasting paper, you see the paw wonderful.

I used the paw punch also on the sentiment tag.
The sentiment is by Tim Holtz.

On the bag ofthe box is another heart with a stamped
"meow" (old SU!' stamp).
This box is ready to give!

Happy Chinese New Year

Today the Chinese New Year starts and this year is the
year of the rat. Goodbye year of the pig.

The Rat:
If you are born in the year 1948, 1960, 1972, 1984,
1996 of 2008 than you are a rat and rats are believed to be
very industrious and thrifty, dilligent and positive.

Of course I wanted to make a card for the new year and I came across
a wonderful tutorial here by Frenchie. The tutorial is HERE.
It is a tent card.

I added a little of my own.
The heart is a stamp by Michael Strong
and the sentiment is from my stash.
On the side of the rat I added the flower stamp by Michael Strong.
The are embossed in silver. I was inspired by seeing this decoration
when I googled for the rat image.
